Gears of War NECA 3 Series 1 Action Figure Clayton Carmine Lancer

One of the newest characters to grace the Gears of War universe now has an action figure! Clayton Carmine, the oldest of the Carmine brothers is a beast. The figure has quite a bit of added articulation for the last series of figures that NECA released. Overall, this figure is amazing! It's quite heavy and just looking at it you can be impressed with the quality. There are a few things about it that keeps it from getting a 5 though. First off, the paint job is impressive with details, but his arms aren't the same color at all. one is tan and the other is almost a greyish tan. I noticed it while still in the box, so keep an eye out for this if you find it in the store. The only other problem I have with this new set is the way they hold their weapons. Even with the added articulation, it seems they have a real problem getting both arms close enough to hold the lancer. It can be done, but doesn't look too natural. The other problem with this is the hole for the left hand is slightly too small, and the dense plastic in Clay's hand keeps it from being able to slide through. I fixed this with a quick cut of a knife on the lancer, but still a problem. Overall he is a great buy, a vast improvement to the previous gears of war lines. Just watch out for the skin discoloration and you'll have yourself a 5-star toy.EDITI am changing this review to a 5 star review as a few things I have done to make it a 5 star review. The lancer that comes packaged with this figure is a very stiff plastic, using a lancer from the previous lines of figures will work well, as they are more flexible to get his left hand into the hole. Also, I went to Toys R Us and found another Clay which had the skin tones the way they should be (didn't open though). If you already have a lancer from the previous set just switch it with Clay's and it will work fine.

I was pleased with the detail and solidity of the action figure, however the left arm was frozen at the elbow joint. looks like the joint was painted over and paint may have dried inside joint. Cannot move arm, therefore figure cannot hold gun with two hands. I have tried pretty forcefully to unstick joint but i fear breaking the arm if i try any harder. This is the only gears of war action figure i have from neca with this problem, isolated incident im sure. Overall great figure.

And great attention to detail. The tat on his arm of his brothers, the other tat of the machine gun bullets, not to mention the "grub killer" on the front (and back shoulders) are amazing. He is slightly taller than other characters, similar to his character in the video game. The lancer accessory fits nicely in his hand or onto his back. A great piece for any Gears fan's collection.

Did not get clay Carmine but I got Anya the first time but I bought one again got clay now I’m happy

I purchased this for my sons birthday as he is a big GOW fan ever since i introduced the first GOW to him. He already has a Marcus and Locust Figure. The quality and detail of these figures is amazing right down to the graffiti on the suit (Grub Killer!!!). These are really nice figures and worth the higher price tag.

Clayton is the best of the Carmine brothers and this action figure is no exception. Great detail, splendid coloring. This is an all around, great product.

Great detail on the figure and good size for display, articulation is pretty decent too, however. One of the figures arms is very loose and cannot be held up on its own which leaves just a arm hanging which you can do nothing with, and I'm not the only one this happened to from the reviews.Also you don't get a retro lancer as pictured you get a chrome lancer.Other than those minor complaints this figure is pretty damn good.

First of all, having ordered this on the 23rd December 2011 and receiving it on the 24th December 2011 is nothing short of a miracle at that time of the year, so well done to Parallel Worlds (Books) Limited for that.The item itself is of excellent quality, well built with a good weight to it. Some joints are quite difficult to move at first, but they loosen sufficiently with time. It will move and stay, and stand up in the position you ask it to.As stated in other reviews, it comes with a Lancer rather than a Retro Lancer as shown, but that's fine with me. You can also put the Lancer in Carmine's back like in the game Very impressed with this item, I'm keeping an eye out for the other 3 to be released.

Got this for Christmas for my Nephew and He was thrilled, He had tried to get it in our local toy stores but they weren't available.
