A tire inflator will likely draw up to 10 amps at 12 volts. That's 120 watts. This adapter's limit is 8 watts.

1. This is a power connection. Converts Cigarette lighter to USB. I used it to power a GPS unit that used cigarette lighter for power. 2. It didn't work well - it didn't make a tight connection - and I returned it as defective for credit. What do you think is going to heat anything? Sounds like you have a gadget that heats a travel mug. You have to figure out how you'd power that. Not sure I can answer your question with the information provided, but I hope I was more clear. Again, for my purpose, it didn't work because the connection was loose and inconsistent. Returned.

No. This plugs into a USB port of a household cell phone charge block or computer's USB port and creates a 12V cigarette style socket to use with very simple devices that would normally go in your auto and do not consume much power. Think of things like Garmin gps units or your kid's LCD headrest car DVD player.

You can get an adapter to plug into your cigarette lighter that has a USB port. I have one and it works ok, won't give you a fast charge, but it will work.
