Very quite
The media could not be loaded. My neighbor helped me install it. We both were surprised how quiet it was. Only problem was the white grill tabs arrived broken. So we just installed the old one.

Easy replacement
Easy replacement of existing exhaust fan. Measured the hole in the drywall, ordered exact replacement size and hooked up the wires and ductwork. Hopefully it lasts a good long time.

Broan Nu-Tone AER80CCTK Bathroom Fan vs QuFresh BC80
Broan Nu-Tone 80 CFM has vent slots only on the sides minimizing dust, and cleanup chores. It also has a light with 4 settings, all the way from warm 3,000 to bright 5,000k and since they are LED's means pennies in electrical consumption. It is ultra-quiet with only 7.0 scones. As the listing states it is easy to install from room side with no attic access, but that is only when you are using an existing light for installation, or replacing an existing fan connected to an existing wall switch. The QuFresh which is only 2/3rds the price of the Broan Nu-Tone also has 80 CFM air flow but does not have the light, but is Energy Star Certified. It does have the large bottom grille that requires cleaning. This whole setup is especially beneficial if you are replacing an existing bathroom fan but be sure to measure the dimensions if you are hoping for a drop-in replacement. You can't go wrong with either one of these fans. They are both super quiet. The major difference being whether you want the light, and the more obvious chore of when it comes to cleaning the dust in the vents, only because it is more apparent in the QuFresh, but not that it collects any extra dust. For me I have a house built in 1955, and although I installed a bathroom fan in the basement remodel, I never installed one in the original bathrooms upstairs. So, I have some attic climbing to do, and the unfortunate chore of running some new wiring connections, and digging out a wall switch. By the way, code requires bathroom fans to vent to the outside in order to avoid mold, and mildew problems from forming. I guess it's a job trade off because I have been dealing with wallpaper seams slowly coming apart from the steam from the shower. It'll be nice to glue them one last time.

Bigger than standard bathroom fans
I assumed that all bathroom fans would be the same size. I was wrong. The Amazon page for this fan does say that it is "oversized," but I missed this. So, it's too big for my bathroom. I could poke the hole a bit bigger and still use this fan, but I have an old plaster walls and ceiling that are covered over with sheetrock. I risk a collapse if I start poking holes. I am not using this fan. That's too bad because it looks good and I would appreciate its quietness. My old fan made so much noise I could barely hear the radio in the shower. The news being what it is, I guess that isn't all bad.

Good alternative to name-brand bathroom vent fans
Full disclosure, I did not install this in my bathroom, I had an electrician do so. But he said it’s a good quality product and basically indistinguishable from the more expensive, name brand vent fans.Good to know: this unit doesn’t come with the kit necessary to run the vent out of your house via the roof or side. But those kits are quite inexpensive. This is the barebones model. No light. No bells and whistles, so to speak. It’s the standard white color, standard size. Not too loud, but loud enough that it creates a nice atmosphere in the bathroom. And most importantly, it does a good job sucking up moisture and venting it outside where it belongs.

Sturdy, easy to install as a replacement
I ordered this to replace an aging, failing ceiling exhaust fan of the same size. Installing the fan was straightforward, using the enclosed instructions. I didn't run into any unexpected issues. Based upon the design, you can see that it's a quality product that was made to last, not some cheap box-store product. The fan is exceptionally quiet, you can hardly tell it's running, but using a smoke test you can quickly see that it exhausts well.Based upon my experience so far, I would order this product again.

Pretty good
If you are looking to replace your bathroom fans this is a good option as it is pretty much is quiet and as efficient as the name brands. A good option for remodeling or just getting less noise and sucking out more moisture from your bathroom. It looks like a quality product that should last quite a while.
