Clear ice for the price
The materials are cheap but this is a niche item, which probably warrants the price. A silicone tray with holes in the bottom, a cheap plastic basin, and foam insulation. It works exactly as described. Just fill and freeze. For best results you should remove the cubes after 20-24 hours. If you let the whole basin freeze it's a pain to separate the block from the tray, and you risk ripping the tray or cracking the plastic basin. I remove the cubes and store them in a metal bowl, which seems to keep them from melting during defrost cycles. If you find that your ice is cracking when making a drink, let the ice temper in the glass for a minute or two before adding your drink.

Works well! Don’t overfreeze. Learning curve to removing ice.
This set up really does work in delivering clear ice cubes! It is a little tricky removing the mold, (I recommend gently pulling back the foam from around the edges of the black molding, then you can wiggle and pull the tray out of the foam container). Do NOT overfreeze. All freezers are different, so check the mold at 18hrs, 24hrs, etc until you have the proper freeze. I also noticed that one random ice cube spot would pop up and become more of an ice log rather than a cube. Once the cube/log is removed, you can take a serrated knife and score a line across it and then hit the knife with a mallet to cut the cube.

Fun but Timle Consuming and somewhat difficult
The Clear Ice Cube Tray adds a stylish touch to serving ice cocktails to guests, making the presentation a lot more enjoyable. However, it comes with some challenges. Pros: Aesthetic Appeal: The clear ice cubes look fantastic in drinks, enhancing the visual experience for your guests. Fun Factor: Using this tray can elevate your cocktail-serving game, making it a fun addition to gatherings. Cons: Long Freezing Time: It takes about two days for the cubes to fully freeze, which requires some planning ahead if you're hosting guests. Difficult to Remove: Getting the cubes out of the tray can be quite tricky, and transferring them to a bag for storage is not the easiest task. Limited Capacity: With only 10 cubes per batch, I've found myself making two batches at a time to ensure I have enough on hand. Overall, while the Clear Ice Cube Tray certainly impresses visually, the preparation and storage processes can be cumbersome. It's best used when you have the time to plan ahead!

Clear ice cubes but difficult to extract from the tray
I dislike that it is difficult to extract from the silicon tray ( instructions for filling up the tray but not further than that) and I did not expect to not have a surface cover for the tray when it is in the freezer I will return

Cheap construction, doesn't work as advertised, NOT worth the money
This item is built to embarrassingly poor quality, does not make clear ice as advertised, and makes cubes that are asymmetrical with jagged edges on top. It is extremely hard to de-mold the ice and the silicone lining feels like it's about to rip when you try. Attached is a picture with all included instructions, so while it seems like it'd be easy to clean, I have no idea whether it's dishwasher safe. For the price? You could probably get both inserts here on Amazon and a chunk of the same packing foam from a UPS store and still have 10 or 15 bucks to play around with. Nowhere near worth the price, just build your own or spring for the one you always see on YouTube. That might be better (I don't know for sure so please don't take that as a recommendation)

Does not include tongue safety warning
This ice cube tray makes some big-ash ice cubes! They're actually too big to fit in my cups, ha ha. SO, I've resorted to drinking warm soda and then licking an ice cube, alternately. However, this comes with an added danger, as I found out - licking a large ice cube can make your tongue stick to it! Luckily, these are clear ice cubes, so the doctor was able to see my tongue through the cube right before removing it. Fun times!!

Turn the cooler upside down after freezing for 30 Minutes
I had an issue removing the ice cube tray, but found that if I turned the silicone and foam holder upside down on a cooling rack for approximately 30 minutes the tray was easy to remove and the ice cubes were solid. I could use them immediately or store them in a gallon zip lock bag for future use.

Don't waste your money, just get the expensive one
Works okay. I was initially happy with this, and my first batch of ice came out perfect (other than the one push-pop cube... see other reviews). Over time, however, it became frustrating to use because the pieces don't fit well together, and combined with the large size makes it nearly impossible to get into the freezer without spilling outright, or creating a small overflow that leads to a pool of frozen water on and around the tray. The only way to avoid this is to significantly under-fill the tray. Either way, you end up with short "cubes". Kind of defeats the purpose of having presentation-worthy ice. When a friend accidentally threw away the foam liner (it looks like packing material), I splurged on a more expensive version, and the difference is night and day. Fifty bucks might seem like a lot for a 4-cube tray, but it is designed so much better that it makes the process a breeze, and even with the lower capacity, I end up with more ice over time because it is so much easier to fill and use without a mess. Don't waste your money on this one.

Poor quality, doesn't last, clear ice cubes
The white polystyrene case and black insert both tore within 6 months. The quality of the product does not justify the high price as the polystyrene case looks home made. The ice cubes pop out of the black case whilst in the freezer and the polystyrene case sticks to the freezer. Its impossible to get the ice cubes out of the black case out without running under luke warm water. The ice cubes are clear but not worth the hassle.

Works!
Crystal clear ice cubes. Sure, you can build this setup at home but who has the time. A few tips - do not force the cubes out, let everything out for a few minutes to loosen up. - some cubes will double in size, its normal, you just get a massive cube with each batch - the insulating material must not be manhandled, its not indestructible - dont store cubes for a ling time, they look best when fresh. Overall, it's a great little gadget that is sure to impress guests.

Works as advertised, but...
The lure of crystal clear ice cubes brought me to this purchase. Does a glass of bourbon on the rocks need a crystal clear ice cube? Nope. Is it fun? Sure. What's no fun is the amount of space required (my partner's viewpoint) and the reality that while the cubes do come out looking like a piece of clear glass, they don't stay clear if left in the freezer for more than a week or two. After that, they look like large, cloudy ice cubes that could have been made in a silicone ice cube tray that sells for $6. If making lovely clear ice cubes for special occasions is what you're after, this set-up will do that for you, otherwise, just buy an el cheapo silicone tray and enjoy the libations.
