WIX is a highly regarded and trusted brand. Their standards are very high and nothing is cheaped out. You get an excellent quality product that will serve it's purpose well. Most mechanics I know ask for this brand filter for their own vehicles. Regular oil changes are still required and the extra filtering capacity is a good thing for your engine. The old adage of changing oil + filter every 3k miles is still a good practice. Leaving oil for longer intervals just recirculates the trash in the oil that wears it out. Keeping clean oil will give you the best possible life of your engine.
