I was sent the PTV-1B to test. I was able to literally take it out of the box and put it to use. I used the included 1/4 in cable to test. I heard some static, but I was holding the handheld mic close to the receiver. It is two channels fixed frequency VHF. The headset microphone and lapel mics seem to be omnidirectional and very sensitive. You may get feedback if you're too close to a speaker. They may also clip if the input is too loud. I didn't notice any issues with sound quality. I recommend the PTV-1B if you need something simple and cost effective. I would not recommend for anyone who has used or is used to professional grade equipment. Good for karaoke, beginners, small family gatherings, presentations, or anything that you would rather not use expensive gear for. Minimal knowledge of microphones and speakers required.
