These pencils make a big difference for little ones with low muscle tone or poor pencil pressure. They write darker and are easy to hold. I use a handsaw to cut them even shorter (about 1inch) to encourage a tripod grasp and to improve hand strength.

It helps kids to actually see what they're writing. It can be a bit messy if they go over it but we still go for it.

My four year old has a hard time writing and we’ve tried several types of pencil grips to make it easier for him, none of them helped much. I decided to buy these on a whim and they are amazing! He’s able to hold the pencil correctly on his own without any help and he’s getting better at writing on his own as well. Definitely recommend these for anyone with small children as the triangular shape makes it very easy for them to hold and see what they’re writing, which was a huge problem for my son while using bigger pencils.

Update to my previous review:After I posted my disappointment, the seller contacted me and sent me another set with a working pencil sharpener. I am happy that I can sharpen the pencils now!——————-I am happy with the pencils. However, the pencil sharpener was missing a metal part, and I cannot use it to sharpen anything. I tried, but it just does not work…

My 4 year old granddaughter LOVES to write, however regular sized pencils get “tipsy” for small hands. Her writing has dramatically improved since using these. They are somewhat triangular in shape which allows for a great grip. She can completely manage her printing with this pencil. It’s not to skinny, nor is it to bulky. Literally perfect!!
