Alfred's Basic Piano Prep Course Level A - Four Book Set - Includes Lesson, Theory, Technic, and Notespeller books

I am a professional musician who took a minor in piano in college. Bought to teach my 5 yr old grand daughter beginning piano and she enjoys it. First published “back in the day” so if you are a Squeamish PC type you might be slightly offended by one or two “boy centered” illustrations, but IMHO that is really not an issue here as the objective is a good beginning piano course for children.

I teach piano. This is a very good set for the upper beginner / intermediate student. Best for upper elementary or lower middle school students. The supplemental exercises compliment the songs.

I have been a piano teacher for ten years and love this series of books for my kiddos that are 6 and under. Easy to learn from, colorful, and goes at a slower pace compared to other method books. Highly recommend!

Love these books! I love that these products come in a set and include theory and technique with them. It is also nice to have the notespeller to have my child do a little book work to really learn to play piano correctly. My 6 year old is using these and is doing great. Easy to use from beginning to end. I would highly recommend these products!

I bought these piano books for my 6 and 8 year old to learn piano from. They have been wonderful beginner books. I have been impressed with how they all work together through the different lessons, with the workbook of notespeller to the songs they play in lesson and technic books. The songs are fun and engaging for my beginner players.

Alfred's Basic Prep Courses at all levels are my absolute go to program for teaching piano to young beginning students. Alfred's programs present materials in s variety of modes to meet my students' varied learning styles and learning issues. The reason I rate this set with four stars only is that it lacks the Solo book which should be part of the set.

I was so confused as to what to buy for my child who is 6 and taking her first piano lessons. Even within this level of this brand there are so many to choose from. Her piano teacher recommended we start here. This package has everything we need.
