Q: The description says three settings, how do you change the settings?

Ours has one setting,each bay has it's own on and off switch.

Q: I does not hold my watches firmly. my wrists must be bigger than most. Am I missing something?

I have fairly large wrists too and what I end up doing is using a tighter cinch on the wristband when I put it into the self-winder. Hope this helps.
