Nutrient Agar Plates - Sterilized - 2, 100 Millimeter

I purchased these Agar plates to test a UV sanitizer I also purchased at the same time. The experiment: I marked the Agar plate with a sharpie dividing it in 2. I placed a bacterial sample on one half and disinfected it in my UV sanitizer. I place another bacterial sample on the other half and let it grow for a week. The bacteria grew on the un-sanitized half but not on the sanitized half. Seems to do the job.

I was really happy because I got 4 dishes instead of 2, but one already had bacteria growing in it and 2 didn't seem to want to grow anything.. one dish worked really well though so that saved my lab project. The dishes arrived really quickly and I would buy from them again. I recommend these dishes to anyone who needs to do a bio experiment... agar dishes are what they are, and even in the most ideal conditions, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't... having 2 that did grow bacteria is perfect.

The product is as described and what we needed. Unfortunately the plastic Petri dishes were broken upon arrival. We used the agar in some glass dishes so the purchase wasn’t a waste.
