Very lightweight, no white cast at all!!

For a beauty junkie (lol), I take skincare very seriously and protecting my skin from the UV rays is my top priority. I always prefer using a physical/mineral sunscreen to the chemical one. I think deflecting the harmful rays is way safer than absorbing them. The only problem is that it’s not easy to find the perfect physical sunscreen that ticks all the boxes.I’ve tried a few well-known brands ( REN, Drunk Elephant, Heliocare, Kiehl’s, Skinceuticals, to name a few) before but my skin didn’t seem to agree with most of them. Most left a thick white cast on my skin while others were too shiny, too drying, or very pricey. I found one product that suits me most, the only problem, it comes with a hefty price tag!When I saw this product on Vine, my expectation was low but I thought I would give it a try anyway.I have been using it twice a day every day for the past 3 weeks, and much to my surprise, it works better than I expected. The milky lotion has a light consistency, spreads beautifully, and is absorbed quickly into my skin without being sticky or greasy and the best part, there’s no obvious white cast! It doesn’t have any smell either.With the combination of powerful hydrating ingredients of Aquaxyl, Hyaluronic Acid, and Cape Aloe Extract, this sunscreen lotion with SPF 50 not only protects the skin from harmful rays but moisturises and hydrates the skin at the same time. It leaves my combination skin feeling soft and hydrated. There’s no piling when applied together with serum, moisturiser, and lightweight foundation. It doesn’t sting my eyes either.The best feature is the price - for £17.99 (at the time of writing), it’s a third off of my current brand, which makes this sunscreen the winner!As with using sunscreen (or heavy makeup), it’s always recommended to double cleanse with an oil-based cleanser to make sure the skin is thoroughly clean.All in all, this is a good overall physical sunscreen with anti-aging properties that’s perfect for my combination skin. This sunscreen lotion spreads beautifully onto the skin without leaving the white cast. To me, this is the best sunscreen at an affordable price. I would highly recommend it.Thank you for reading. It’s great sunscreen. It looks a bit green but turns translucent once you rub it in. It doesn’t leave a white cast which is a bonus. There is no bad scent, just a bit chemically.

First off, I should say that this is an outstanding cream from the point of view of application, disappearing into the skin easily without looking pasty-faced. It has a nice lavender smell.I note that some other people who got this free to review, as did I, and who got it at the same time as me, have quickly banged up glowing 5 star reviews during a period when we had grey skies and the sun was nowhere to be seen. I, on the other hand, waited a week until we had sunshine, and tested it in a situation where I was face-on in direct unobscured late morning-midday sunshine for over 2 hours without respite, and no extra covering permissible i.e. no sunhat. I started to feel the effects of the sun before the 2 hours were up, and that never happens with the SPF 50 I use (Riemann P20). I'm not burned by any means, but there is a noticeable reddish tinge on my face, again which I wouldn't get with my SPF 50. So quite frankly I'm really not convinced that the performance of this cream matches up to SPF 50; on this evidence I would probably say it's more like 30 or 35 tops, based on how quickly I start to feel effects in full sunshine when using SPF 30.

As someone who is extremely sun sensitive and also has oily spot prone skin, finding the right sun cream can be quite difficult. This suncream is one of the good ones in my opinion and here is why:It has quite a strong but pleasant scent. It smells perfumed and not of the classic 'suncream' smell. If you are very sensitive to fragrances in skincare you might not like this though.The texture is quite light/thin for a sun cream which means it applies smoothly with no white cast and doesn't sit like a layer on top of the skin. It doesn't fully dry down to matte or soak into the skin but instead makes my skin look only very slightly shiny in a healthy way.In terms of wear throughout the day it does not make my skin more greasy. It also doesn't affect my makeup which is a big bonus. I have found that it provides a good level of sun protection as is typical of sun protection factor 50 products.Overall this is a very good premium sun cream, ideal for facial use.I hope you find this review helpful.

It has a light lovely smell, not overpowering and I like it. A few pea-sized applications are all you need to apply on your face on a thin layer for the ultimate protection from the sun.I use it in conjunction with my other skincare items and it goes on brilliantly, no pilling or balling up.
