01, because that's all it ever reads
This is pure garbage. It came with an "instruction" leaflet. The leaflet was more of an advertisement than anything, telling you why it's so great. The translation is pure machine translation making no sense. Things like telling me how much fat (yes, FAT) is in the soil. There is nothing on how to actually use this. Anyway, I press the set button. Nothing. So I hold it. Ah, there we go, it's on now. I go outside to my field with nice black dirt, push the probes into the ground and... nothing. It reads Zero. So I move to another area. Zero. I get out another one. Zero. I get out the third. One! Woo hoo! I got a reading! But wait, what does it mean? There is no instructions, no chart, nothing on a sticker on the side. Nothing. Pure garbage. By the way, I covered over 15 acres today trying to see if it would read something besides zero or one. I got six on two probes and 17 on the third in an area that was super saturated from the recent rains. Don't get this. Did I mention, it's garbage?

Came without actual use instructions. Sent it back
I bought this for our garden after using a kit that involved water, capsules of tinting powder, my soil and the 'beaker' to test in. I was really excited about this, but when I received it, the directions told all about 'what' it does, but nothing about 'how'. Also, I couldn't figure out how to re-charge or change batteries. After writing the seller to get this information, it was evident that it was a foreign company that couldn't understand English, and couldn't explain what I wanted to know. Great idea and a time saver, but too expensive to gamble on whether it would hold up, especially if their customer service couldn't communicate.
