I really wasn't expecting much from this inexpensive antenna, but ordered it anyway to try out. I live in an urban area with a lot of wifi and other signal interference. In some areas I'll start losing signal at only 2000 feet away.With this booster I was pleasantly surprised to find I maintained 5 bars through those areas, and kept 5 bars most of time clear up until 4400+ feet. And I still had a rock solid signal, I just came back home because I didn't want to keep going! I was really impressed. It does work better though if you keep the antenna pointed in the direction of the drone.From the reviews I've read the results for each person is mixed though. I recommend it.

This is very useful when you're on the other side of trees, or have some other issue causing signal loss. When I'm flying and the signal goes down significantly, I can pop this on quickly and the signal strength comes right back up. Just keep in mind this will make your antenna array much more directional, so be sure to point this device toward the drone.It comes in two pieces, which aren't difficult to assemble into one piece. Once assembled, it should remain as one piece unless you get a bit aggressive with it. Just be gentle with it and it'll be fine.As for attaching it to the controller, it slips into place very easily (half dome side hangs down below the controller). It's a bit harder to remove from the controller, but not by much. Just press each tab in a bit and it'll slip right back out of place so you can store it when you don't need it.

Got this product to increase signal strength and range first test flight was out to 2 miles with no drop off in signal strength. Tested it areas where I had major signal loss and the drone performed better with less signal loss.

Really increases signal strength keeps white longer and yellow without loss have made it over 5 miles away, however had to drive to retrieve on more than a few occasions due to wind

The product works all right, maybe a 10% practical increase.I gave it a one-star rating because it was listed as next-day shipping. However, the next day it was marked to arrive in two more days, and I wouldn't have known if I hadn't checked. There was no email and no message. I canceled the order and reordered to get it earlier.This is becoming more and more common when I purchase something on Amazon and I'm getting sick and tired of it. I don't know if the problem is with Amazon, or with their sellers, but it needs to get fixed. Between this and the hassle that returning items has become, I will try most other retailers before I give in and purchase something on Amazon.Other than that, the product was okay. Even at the low price, I'm not sure it's worth it though.

It might just be me but I’ll be flying and the drone will start to go out of range, I’ll put this on but it doesn’t seem like anything happens, it’s still out of rage.

So it seems to work. Idk how but I had my drone very far out it was down to 2-1 bars of connection and taking this off disconnected the controller. When I put it back on it re-gained signal. Tried twice and got the same results. Again, I’m no CS Major or Engineer but I think the cone shaped reflector helps. I almost always fly with it on.
