What a great toy to drive musical creativity in your kids. Our 5 year old loves it, and we’ve had it for a couple of years now. It’s solid, not even showing signs of wear and tear. It has a nice range of sounds and features and feels like a high quality unit. I think it’s well worth the money and it gets a lot of play. You can also sample your own sounds which has been a good laugh for our family. I would highly recommend.

I bought the VTech Kidi DJ Mix (Black) for a DJ's kid, and it's been a huge hit! The toy is incredibly fun and interactive, allowing kids to explore their creativity while pretending to mix music just like a professional DJ. Best present we've ever bought, allows my son to be really creative. So many different functions, ways to mix, change tempos, lots of different pre-recorded sound banks and vocal banks with Electro Pop, House, Techno, Chill sounds, lots of ways to mix things up - can record your own sound effects which my 5 year old loves, and he's really learning the basics of rhythm by starting and stopping looped sounds at the right places with the beat he's chosen.I spent a long time looking for toys that weren't a simple "A does B" and that's the end of the exploring, like most toys. This allows every time to be different, and is a toy both my kids keep coming back to over and over. Even the adults love having a go! Well worth the money, knowing it's quality and use, I'd have paid twice the price now!

My autistic son loves this thing to pieces.It also saves me a lot of money for when he decides he might want to mess about with my Denon DJ SC Live 4 - which he certainly won't!It kind of reminds me of the party mix Numark with the lights on the back and the onboard speakers - for a toy it's very simplified for obvious reasons, but it has it's playability value and it also kind of gets them learning about music and mixing.My son loves it, there's scope to do some things to get creative, recording samples, and mixing loops and generally I consider this a fine purchase well worth the money.
