Very useful to new authors. Well written and funny. I think it’s going to be very useful. Easy to follow instructions and plenty of advice.

I found the book very informative and as a beginner it really hit the mark. Lori also has a great sense of humor so fun to read. Not like a text book. Gives a lot of good advice to help save you money. Very happy I purchased the book

Mostly for blogs very little on e-commerce

This was the first website I have developed and Lori's book started me in the right direction by detailing how to get a Domain Name and how to find a Hosting site for my new domain. These two steps are very important and must be done right, and Lori's book is a good guide.I used Wordpress as the building basis for my website and Lori covers the basics which then points you in the right direction to do more research. In fairness every website has a unique objective, so covering all of the details for each type of site would be impossible.Would I recommend this book? ... absolutely.

This book was a great read - it stepped me through one topic at a time. It was easy to follow and enabled me to gain the confidence to do this myself. One note: the copy and paste illustrations in the copy of my book were blurry and hard to read. Fortunately, Lori accompanied each illustration with a detailed description which help make me understand what was being displayed. If you need to set-up a website as a beginner - this is for you!

I have had a domain name for a long time contemplating doing a webpage for my book business. I kept putting it off not knowing what I was doing. This book saved me. I had tried navigating WordPress on GoDaddy but became even more confused. I stumbled on this book and was pleasantly surprised that it is easy to follow and forces you to get organized from the start and then how to go on and create your page. One thing that also was great was that it tells you how to own your own domain and gives reasons why not to turn everything over to a developer without certain protections in place. That alone totally saved me a lot of heartache. One chapter talks about how to keep from paying high prices every month to maintain a page. Also it talks about how to transfer your current webpage to any domain you want. I would definitely recommend this to a beginner who is thinking about creating their first web page. It has so much great info I have not found elsewhere.

Lori knows her stuff and her instructions are easy and very clear to understand and there is no fear for me when I have her book to follow. She follows up to make sure you are ok and on track. She stays with you to get your input on anything she may have more to add. Thank you Lori

Lori has written an informative, yet easy to understand guide to getting off the dime. Unless you are already a webmaster, I believe this book will help you, as it has me. There are so many decisions, and questions for a neophyte, it's easy to get mired in "the Slough of Despond" (John Bunyan). Her humorous and encouraging prose will help you take the next step, and have a better feel for the best steps forward (none of us like to make mistakes). You will be in good hands with Ms. Culwell. Buy it!
