I was worried about ordering, based on other reviews, but because the concerning reviews were written over 2 years ago i’d take a chance. I’m so glad I did. This product is a great value for the money. I haven’t seen any sticks or bugs mixed in. I’ve never owned anything filled with buckwheat, so I can’t speak to it being flat, but the lot I got seems pretty light and fluffy to me. Overall I’m very pleased!

Hulls were flat had to put 10lbs in standard pillow caseThese hulls are no better than the ones I dumped out after 3 years of use and were broken down.I expected better.I am ready to dump them into a bag and return them.BewareI contacted the company and no answer back - SAD

I bought this to refill an As Seen on TV buckwheat husk pillow but this was about three times the amount of shells than i needed. I ended up putting the entire bag into it's own pillow protector case (an allergy suppressing case that has a zipper closure) and using it as one giant version of the tiny pre-made pillow I'd purchased years ago. These things are comfortable but there is a learning curve with the noise the husks make when you move your head. It's worth the effort though. This particular item is a steal compared to the pre-made pillows.

Nice filling. 5 lbs would be enough for a queen sized pillow.This is fantastic for heated pet beds using a microwavable pad (which is much safer than AC powered).A 5lb bag worked to fill two cat beds, which have pillows of size 18x18in, filling them around 2 inches thick. This works great because of the heat transfer properties of the material. I can put the microwavable disk under the pillow, and it radiates through quickly and evenly. Also, the fill forms around the animal's body, which they enjoy. Previously with poly fill, there would be a hard edge/bulge where the heat pad was placed, and it was lumpy.. So they would try to lay around it rather than on top of it.

My husband sleeps with a Buckwheat hull filled pillow and it was in serious need of a refill. I purchased this item because it was the best value for the money. He really didn't need it to be organic but for the money it could not be beat. I was able to refill his pillow and have more than enough for the next. All in all it's a great value since I can use this again in a few years when he needs another refill.

My oain doctor I go to my Arthritis said his wife get him one for his neck Steroid shots and pain pills could not touch his oain or mine. Try 2 weeks I promise you will sleep better and get total relief on your neck. I replace my hukks every 1.5 yrs and grow old ones in the flower beds. Great mulch.

Bean Products must have changed the type of buckwheat they use. These hulls are lightweight and not nearly as firm as the pillows I have bought in the past

good price... there are a lot of debris mixed in with the hulls! was picking out tiny stems and straw like pieces for an hour on 3lbs. even after picking mostly clean, i could detect a 'dusty' scent once in my pillow. they stirred my allergies a little. my buckwheat pillow (different brand) had no scent and i had no allergy problems prior to adding this fill.

Used it to fill a round leather pillow from Istanbul, makes the PERFECT meditation cushion at a fraction of the price.

Arrived on time and was exactly as described

the bag was way smaller than expected. I ordered 5 lbs of buckwheat from another company on here and the package was much larger. i will be weighing this on a scale to confirm.if it is 5 lbs like it said then the quality of the hulls is very low.
