Can this product be used for diffusing led downlights in a ceiling? i have recessed lighting that is too focused. mnfctr doesnt make a diffuser lense

I don’t think this will make a huge difference but it’ll be a few percentage points better I suppose.

The led lights in the ceiling fan that i installed is way too bright. would this be good for dimming the brightness?.

Not really. They scatter the light more than they dim. You should get a dimmer switch or led bulbs with less wattage.

Hoping to use this to disperse (spread) the light of led strips for a craft project. Feasible? What is the optimal distance between lights and film?

That's what I bought them for and they work pretty well for that purpose as long as you give an inch or so of space between the light source and the film. I wanted larger sheets which I couldn't find on-line, so I went to Samy's Camera to buy the film in a roll.
