I got these to use with a medium size pump to to drain my 2 tier ponds. Response had been sitting for a couple years and had a lot of debris in them. I used 1bag it worked great kept the debris out of my pump and was able to drain both upper and lower ponds without any problems. When i'm done cleaning the pond I'll use the Pump Barrier to the pump clean.I would recommend this product.

This solved all my pump problems. I was replacing my pump every year or 2 until I put it in this bag. Now all the big stuff stays out. I pull it every few months and rinse it. (3500 gpm pump)

Works pretty good. Definitely keeps my pump from getting clogged with debris so fast. It's a little too small for my filter, but I managed to make it work. Seems pretty durable.

These bags really work! The pump for my outdoor fountain was constantly getting clogged with debris. But after using one of these bags the pump remains debris-free virtually all of the time. Once every few months I might have clean it a little if something gets in but otherwise the problem is gone. Just make sure to use the cord to cinch the bag shut as tightly as possible around the pump. A seemingly simple but ingenious solution.

Works great around my water pumps for our duck ponds. The noise level is very quiet and has a great flow rate for its size.

Get the bigger size than what you think you need. Good quality, though.

I have two fountains in my yard, and they are very popular with the birds. Now birds are great and I love seeing them visit the fountains, but unfortunately they leave behind a mess. Lots of feathers, poop, and food: the grackles like to wash their food, which they occasionally drop into the water. Add to that the never-ending battle with algae, and that's a lot for a pump to deal with. But since getting these bags, the pumps have been running great! And when fountain-cleaning time rolls around, the bags are coated with slime, debris, etc., but I just remove them from the pump, spray vigorously with the garden hose, and they're good as new! If you have an outdoor fountain, do yourself and your pump a favor and get these.

Wish I’d known these existed before! My fountain pump fits into the net bag perfectly. I haven’t had to clean the pump yet, been over a month. It’s a large 40” fountain bowl and the water is still flowing strong. I normally have to clean the pump every couple weeks so this is a blessing. The pump sits in an under water reservoir, the reservoir hatch is hidden under river stone etc., so is a bit of a process. If I only have to clean it a couple times a summer that will save me some time. Two thumbs up!
