it was pretty intresting and good i would defently recommend it to any jacqueline Wilson fan especially if you liked hetty feathere and those books

I am usually not a fan of Jacqueline's books set in the past but this book really exceeded my expectations. I loved Kitty, though she could be a little crule to Lucy at times. I think Jacqueline has written about the time perfectly. I felt I was there with all the characters. The part where Kitty and Lucy vist the Great Exhibition was my favorite. I think Jacqueline described the atmosphere there wonderfully. I sincerely hope that there is a sequel, so myself and readers alike can find out whether Lucy will be reunited with Nurse and Kitty will see Gaffer again once he is released. I couldn't put this book down, I found myself reading into the night. I really recommend this read, as well as many other Jacqueline Wilson books. Truly excellent!

i loved this book lots and i love jacquelines books ive read all of them at least twice in fact! This book is very engaging towards me and I absolutely loved that she added an old friend from Hetty Feather Madam Adelein! (Not sure if i spelt that correct) i would really like to find out if lucy gets to meet nanny again or see her father again or if Kitty will live with Gaffer when he gets out. Overall this was an amazing and expressive book! --A

If you are a fan of Jacqueline Wilson you will probably enjoy this story. If you are new- welcome! This tale is packed with adventures and informs us on what life could(and is) really like for some people. It explores different classes, and their realities in day to day life. It brings us through tough times where trust is lifse. and i can asure you that you will leave knowing a thing or two more about the victorian period! Other books like this include Clover Moon and the Hetty Feather serires!:)

My 10 years girl love this book!Dent on the cover, but still enjoy reading it.

As expected, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed it.
