AVYA Hydroveda Restoring Vitamin C Face Serum - Revitalizes & Repairs Skin Tone and Texture/Helps Heal Facial Blemishes, Scars, and Imperfections (1oz)

So I've been using the AVYA serum products for about 5-6 weeks and I am so pleased with the revitalized look to my face and the healthy glow that has boosted my skin's overall appearance. I use the serum morning and night to moisturized and protect my skin (also with moisturizing products from AVYA). After just a few weeks usage, it has really nourished my aging, somewhat dry skin and I feel like my skin looks so much brighter and healthier looking! I'm a huge fan!

Since 2012, I've been a huge believer in the Ayurvedic system and its holistic approach to medicine, diet and balance between the mind, body and spirit. The principles go back thousands of years, and this skincare line has been developed by a double-board certified facial cosmetic and ophthalmic surgeon who's an Ayurvedic expert and pharmacist. This guy's the real deal, and the Sanskrit word '"AVYA" ["First rays of the sun"] is inspiration for the brand, which combines science and technology with plant-based botanicals, oils, roots and flowers. After using this product, I'm their newest fan.Avya's Hydroveda Serum for moisturizing and revitalizing skin swept me away. The serum is packed with botanicals, but heavily promotes use of mung lentil seed which brightens the skin, and Niacinamide which keeps skin healthy and firm by helping retain moisture, texture, and resilience. The serum is so smooth and leaves the skin unbelievably soft and moisturized. Not sure if it layers well with other brands.This product will work differently depending on your skin type. My dry skin really drinks it up, but in addition to tightening skin and boosting radiance, the niacinamide also also controls excess oil which is counterproductive for dry skin. The milky gel serum in a pump bottle is very soothing, and the extremely light fragrance was not an issue for my allergies. Plant-based formulas can cause allergic reactions or irritations on me, but not this product. This is my first Avya product, so not sure how it works with others in the line for my skin. My only reservation was the oil control issue.The serum is marketed for sensitive skin and/or mature skin, and contains anti-inflammatory ingredients that also help with other skin issues, so there should be some redness control as well. For me, it was a good start to a new-to-me line, and piqued my interest in more products.

Really nice feeling serum with great assortment of effective skin ingredients. Has propensity to pill. So use it alone or use only a very little, and then give it plenty of time between product application to help reduce potential pilling. I have best success with it when used during my night time skin care routine. I can give it plenty of time absorb because I apply it more or less while I am in bed. I am up for awhile watching tv, playing on phone, or reading, so any products that need extra time Ive got it. When I use it during the day, I just dont have the time to give it all the time it needs. A few minutes is all I have. Maybe upward of 20 minutes. But depending on that time from putting this on to trying to apply a moisturizer or sunscreen, I find it is much more likely to pill, roll.My skin: mid 40s, dry. AVYA Hydroveda Serum comes attractively packaged in a recyclable plastic pump container, and it smells AMAZING! The scent was the first thing I really noticed about this product. This product feels so smooth and silky, and it just melts into my skin. I have been using it for about a week now, and I love it! AVYA Advanced Ayurvedics' skincare line is 'inspired by nature, perfected by science.' Like all AVYA products, this serum is formulated with all natural ingredients, such as niacinamide, neem, and peony to help clear and brighten my skin, and mung lentil seed extract and turmeric to reduce redness and inflammation. It also seems to help hydrate, and I sometimes skip my moisturizer after using it. The scent doesn't linger long, and neither does it seem to irritate my sensitive skin...but I really love how this product smells. On top of all that good stuff, this product is not only 100% cruelty-free, but it's also Leaping Bunny certified!This has been my first experience with an AVYA product, but I can't wait to try others. This is a very lightweight serum with quite a strong floral scent, seems very fresh and feminine. After applying this serum, the scent lingers for quite some time. I am not sure how this product would work for sensitive skin since it contains ingredients which usually irritate sensitive skin. For me it works ok, and I have combined acne prone skin, it absorbs fast, gives me a fresh feel and doesn't clog pores, but I would not say this is my favorite product, its just ok without anything specific to mention about it, I mostly use it for my neck skin.
