Such a great conclusion!!!
"You can stop singing for everyone in the world, little bird, but not for me. You want to be mad? Be mad. But you stay here with me and you fight.”Well, the Sugarlake Series has come to a bittersweet end. But what an ending it was! I enjoyed each journey these books took me on and I am sad to say goodbye. Emily did such an amazing job bringing back Chase and Alina, Becca and Eli, & Jax and Blakely, along with introducing us to Lily and Mason. We first met Lily in Beneath the Stars, Chase, Lily's brother's story with Alina. We know all the struggles he faced throughout his book and everything he overcame. I am so happy that we got closure on everything in Lily's book. It was incredibly emotional throughout this book, and I love all the characters and was so happy for them I just had tears in my eyes throughout a good portion of this book.Lily's story is absolutely heartbreaking and I just wanted to cry for her and reach into the book and give her a hug. She is so incredibly strong, selfless, and simply amazing. She's been through so much in her life, but she has so much to live for and someone to live for that she never gives up or falls back into old habits.Mason is so sweet, knows how to handle Lily, and gives her everything that she needs. He comes into her life knowing that he shouldn't, but can't deny the pull between them. Mason is dealing with his own demons and eventually they pull him away, but he'll never give up his fight for Lily."You can tell me all your secrets. I promise I’ll keep them safe.”These two together are just perfect. Their chemistry, connection, and growth. Mason turned out to be completely different than I was expecting him to be, and like I said, Lily is an absolute warrior.I think I almost most definitely need all their kids' stories *hint hint* 😘❤I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to the author, Emily McIntire, for the ARC in exchange for an honest review! 💙Well, bookworms, it’s official. This is my favorite book in the Sugarlake series! The story of Mason and Lily got me so hooked from beginning to end, I really had a hard time putting it down to celebrate 4th of July. 🤪 If you noticed, I didn’t put trigger warnings because it’s best if you go in blind, as the author suggested. However, if you want specific trigger warnings, feel free to message me about it.Going back to my review, I was broken by this book, though I loved every moment of it. If, like me, you have read the whole of the Sugarlake series, then you would understand why this was an amazing end to the series. Every single scene was worth it despite them making me so emotional the other night. I don’t want to divulge too much info, vague or not, so you could maximize your experience with this book. All I can say is that Lily and Mason are meant to be together until the day they both die.P.S. This series consists of interconnected standalones. I HIGHLY recommend that you read it in order (but not required) so you would not miss bits and pieces & so you could appreciate the beauty of this series.
