I highly recommend the Oasis 3600 locking mailbox. Highs: Pleasing, simple look. Sturdy, weather-resistant build quality. Joints/seams are weather-sealed. Magnetic latch ensures door stays shut even in windy weather. Hopper-type door ensures mail and small packages and all your mail yet prevents theft. Both front and rear access to mail retrieval. Manufacturer provides four (4) keys! Lows: If mounting to a post, the post and the mounting hardware are sold separately. Not the friendliest design for outgoing mail. We wanted a curved design to ensure that gravity takes the rain off the mailbox—it does! I chose the satin black finish. This is a powdercoated finish. I’ve heard of people applying car wax to further protect the finish. I live in a rainy area and so that might be something that I’ll do regularly. Mounting was easy and is done from the inside. There are four (4) 3/8 inch holes spaced 4 inches and 10 inches apart. Since my mailbox sits atop a platform custom build atop a chain link fence rail, I used a 1 inch thick plywood base, and secured the mailbox using 5/16 inch diameter lag screws fitted with flat washers. I chose larger screws because this mailbox is heavy—about 14 Lbs. I chose black color because it will be easy to touch any dings that will inevitably happen in the coming years. I have some recent history with this very mailbox because I installed this exact unit at my business property a year ago. It has performed so well, and since we had recent mail theft at home, that it was time for an upgrade. I expect this mailbox to last decades.

Needed a new mailbox that could bolt directly to a besa brick wall and this was perfect. Still get some ailly Amazon drivers putting parcels that would fit in it, outside next to it on the ground. I mean it's not that hard to work out. And being in Oz, nobody sets the flag. Not that I care at all.
