It's a fun little toy and customer service was fantastic!
Edit on 5/17/18I was contacted by Heather in customer service and she was fantastic! She sent us a new one and a pre-paid mailing label to send the defective one back. We bought the Thunder Tumbler after both my kids loved playing with one at their cousins house. I am very happy with the new one!Old review:I only gave 2 stars because the plastic antenna broke within a week of normal play. It's a fun little toy but I think we got a defective one.

Awesome!
My 8 yo grandson wanted a Tumbler to race with his siblings. The black one is needed if you want to race with a red or blue Tumbler. Red and blue have the same radio frequency and it is impossible to race as it just causes a big mess! Thank you for your efficient and quicker-than-expected delivery! It arrived in time for his Bday, instead of a week after, like I was expecting. I will order from you again!

Frequency
The cars are fine but I ordered a blue and red car and didnt realize they both run on the same frequency until we opened them and it was chaos. I found out the black car runs on a different frequency so I had to buy a black one so my grandsons can use them together. Obviously I didn't read the fine print before I ordered. Now they're happy.

Sharper Image - still marketing promising junk
Incredibly bad.Yet another Sharper Image product that completely amazes me, leaving me to wonder how this could have possibly gotten past the testing stage, because one minute with it and you know it does not work, and cannot work.Remember how the Sharper Image stores enticed you with stuff that looked amazing, but turned out to be junk?I bought an evaporative-cooling collar thing that was supposed to magically keep a person cool in summer heat - I got it for my grandmother, but she said it didn't work for her. So I tried it myself... and it just didn't work, period. Like so many others I bought several things from Sharper Image over the years. I don't think there was a single one that didn't turn out to be junk, that I was actually still using a month later.Well, after several such experiences, I caught on. Just like everybody else.Which is why the Sharper Image went under. So, we come to these... things. The remote controls are horrible - one stick for each wheel motor, and you have to push them forward exactly simultaneously. Even when you do, the motors are uneven, so it doesn't go straight. Plus, because the speed isn't variable (what RC people call bang-bang remote control) it immediately lurches at maximum speed and falls back onto that extra wheel - that's unavoidable. It's supposed to be a special stunt feature, but it just happens right away, every time. So the already crappy navigation is that much worse. The only way to make progress is to drive it like that, or backwards.Even then, you're not safe, because every time we tried to use it, the car would quickly fall over on it's side. You'd kind of expect it'll do stuff like that,, given that it's meant be a tumbling car. Indeed, it seems to be built for that, and just part of the the fun.But it's not fun. It's an incredibly glaring defect. Once it's on the side, there's no way to right it. At least not without going and picking it up and putting it back upright... which you'll have to do again five seconds later. We got two frequencies for two boys to play with. We only took one of the box - it was so immediately obvious that this design just cannot work properly.
