Great value and performance
Christmas gift which I anxiously waited until Spring to use. Very easy to setup and start using on the driving range. Phone holder is great for capturing swing video and quickly reviewing shot data. Love the app where I can review my swing data at a later time. Great value and data seems accurate so far.

Budget monitor with great accuracy
Purchased for an indoor budget simulator. Would recommend RCT balls as they pick it up better than regular balls. I hit roughly 200 chip shots and the R10 picks up on every slight mistake I do so I find it very accurate. Woods can be shorter than on the course but I would attribute that to the firm ground and roll outside. The biggest issue is having shots that don't pick up. Short chips (<10 yards) are virtually impossible, and drivers often don't register due to their lack of height. The R10 goes into standby mode often and I occasionally having to press the button on the back to reset it. I would suggest buying an alignment/leveling stand because if the R10 isn't facing the ball at the correct angle then misreads can happen. The camera almost never works for me. Software/app is mediocre, but the R10 integrates with several other programs nicely (TGC, E6, GSPro). The nuances are absolutely worth the price difference between other monitors on the market, if you're just looking for something to give you good numbers and run other software. I considered trading up to a Mevo+ but the readings were the same for both monitors and the Mevo+ putting was so bad that it wasn't worth it.

11 month Review from a +3 handicap
After 11 months using this product inside and outside, comparing data side by side to Trackman at Club Champion, this product is more than worth its price and is nearly identical to trackman #’s. When using the simulator indoors, I highly encourage the Titleist RCT golf balls as it accurately tracks spin due to the reflective layer underneath the balls cover. If you don’t have these balls, it’s an algorithm to estimate spin which can be misleading to true spin numbers. If you’re trying to fit yourself for a new driver, you need those golf balls. Without these balls, my spin was estimated to be around 4,000 RPM which i know is inaccurate. Once i put the balls in play, my spin dropped to my expected 1900-2200 number at 114 mph club head speed.I’m using the r10 with the E6 simulator software and it’s fantastic. The interface is already built in the garmin app, you just need a computer that can run the software. I’ve used awesome golf and it wasn’t realistic enough for me. E6 is LIDAR based and has a yearly subscription that is reasonable. I’m using a gaming computer and have no issues. Again, the RCT balls accurately track spin, even on chips via the E6 software. It wasn’t tracking this on chips (showed 0rpm spin) until I put these balls in place. My yardages are spot on to my exact carry numbers. I don't ever focus on total distance as that is always misleading for any simulator. I found that optimal indoor lightning is absolutely necessary for the simulator to capture each swing. You need ample room (about 8 feet) for the garmin to be able to capture the RCT ball spin #. The best thing about the garmin unit is ability to modify elevation, humidity, and temperature within the garmin app (if using E6 software you can only modify elevation). This is HUGE! Golfers underestimate all three of these factors when playing golf. There are a lot of weekend hacks on youtube that can't use launch monitors to their fullest capacity, and I can genuinely say this is a great unit.I feel you can benefit from this unit and would highly recommend if you’re a data golfer like myself.

Best budget shot tracker
The media could not be loaded. From all the research I did before buying this is easily the best budget golf launch tracker. I had a membership at the PGA superstore and would use their tracker and my tracker and they were very similar. They will go from having the same exact yardage to having 5-20 yard differences on long drives. For me that difference between a $5000 tracker and this $600 tracker wasn’t a big deal. But if it’s important for you this might not be for you. Also I really didn’t like how you had to pay a subscription to play an 18 home simulated game. It was $10 a month but for me that was annoying considering you already have to pay $600 for this. Also I didn’t like that if you were using this in taller grass or anywhere really you need this to be sitting on some books or something to make it higher in the air. I wish they gave you something that helped with that. Also, it’s annoying that it doesn’t track like 20% of your balls id say. So you’re playing the game and you hit a really good drive down the middle, and realize the tracker missed it, and then your next shot is a slicer and they track that. It’s also really bad at tracking chip shots. So if you’re playing a virtual 18 holes the chip shots it doesn’t track often. Because it needs the ball to go into the air and a lot of my chips don’t.I thought the battery life isn’t too bad and setting it up isn’t too hard. It would be nice if it came with a laser to help with lining it up

Awesome data
One of the best things I did this year for my golf game. Was hitting great to start the season then I upgraded my clubs to tour-level cavity backs. As time went on I got out of my groove and starting hitting straight pulls and hooks , even with hitting many shots with my indoor mat and net. The Garmin R10 provides so much great data I was able to key in on my swing analysis and after searching some solutions on YouTube was able to dial in my shots with the help of the feedback from the R10. It's very rewarding to now understand what I'm doing and need to do to control my swing better. This has been the best aid - exceeds what I expected out of it.
