Performance and Security I primarily use this drive for large, archival file transfers. While moving my initial collection of several terabytes, it did feel slow, but that's just the nature of moving large amounts of data. Using a benchmark tool, I confirmed the sequential speeds are running right around 128 MB/s, which is actually very fast for a portable mechanical hard drive (HDD) and significantly better than older external drives I've used. After reviewing numerous testimonials, I ultimately decided to purchase this product.This external hard drive stands out as one of the finest I have encountered. It offers exceptional affordability, a compact design, and a lightweight build, making it highly portable. Regarding performance, I conducted tests on both sequential and random read/write speeds. The results consistently demonstrated impressive speeds across all my evaluations. I will include screenshots to assist others in their purchasing decisions. I plan to provide further updates after daily use, but my initial impressions of its aesthetics, tactile quality, and performance are overwhelmingly positive. When transferring large files, such as movies and videos, I observed speeds ranging from 130 to 145 MB/s. For smaller files, like a substantial collection of photos, speeds were between 70 and 85 MB/s, which I consider remarkably efficient. There is another model, the Ultra Touch, which I found to offer comparable speeds; the primary distinction lies in the inclusion of a USB-C port. If a USB-C port is a priority, that model might be more suitable; otherwise, this particular model represents superior value for money. I personally utilize a USB-A to USB-C converter for transferring content from my mobile device.

Simple installation process and steps were also too easy to complete and the product is also good.But the real available storage space is only 1.8TB

Dont buy this This segate harddrive connects and disconnects on its own without any reason. While using it, the connection suddenly drops, and then reconnects again after some time. This keeps happening repeatedly and makes it very frustrating to use. Because of this issue, the product is unreliable and does not perform as expected. I expected better quality, but this problem completely ruins the experience

Je regrette mon achat, fonctionne par intermittence sur ma YV PANASONIC, parfois il lit les fichiers photos, à d'autres moments il refuse de les lire.

Bon système de stockage, solide et compacte mais pas super rapide. Pour mon utilisation, j'en suis très satisfaite, je stocke mes photos et vidéos de famille, mes films, etc.
