Good for drilling metals.
Solid, Hard, Sharpe pointed head and perfectly to drill in metal. It drills quite nicer. Ruggedness and performance is good. Pricing is also good compare to market price.

drilled 20holes wrought iron and this is the condition of the bit. I cannot imagine how stanley's material quality can be as low as this. Always trusted this brand but today this has created history. I have tried the rest of the bits too thinking it might be manufacturing defect with one bit but all the 10pcs are same. The temper is just too low to drill any iron.

Best 1mm drill bits
For peg hole drills I used these 1mm bits. It gave me a perfect hole of 1mm required for these stringed instrument called violin. Recommended for precision works.

Due to poor packing by seller, product details lostand so hard find correct use
the bits as a whole are JUST average. With the kind of packing sent on the packet by the seller, the technical information and instructions if any are not visible. I almost decided to return since the product technical information got ripped by the glue of Amazon packing. I hadto cut the packet to remove the bits. The bits as measured on vernier calipers is 1mm. With such delicate bits, it needs properstorage and I had used lead refil box to store them. So far, worked with them on balsa particle board. It a little unsteady on particle board. The material of pin is hard to confirm and so it seems it best with soft wood and soft boards, best mild or soft silver at jewellers workstation. Amazon had earlier rejected the feedback as it spoke of Seller and packaging only. Well correctly so, but the packaging was so disturbing for reasons given above, product usability was hard to negotiate in absence of any technical information that manufacturer may have given. With some hit and trial, the above is best that these bits could be safely used on. It is not even clear if these are for use on wood or metal or non metal. Under a sharp magnifier glass, the tip does not seem to be for wood but possibly for metal or could be non-metal. Hence, the guessing game puts me as a buyer, to uncertainty and disappointment that has been instituted by seller and exploiting the product's full potential is missed.
