Kohler 8304-KSL-NA Rite-Temp pressure-balancing valve body and cartridge kit with service stops (supplied loose)

To replace a leaking shower valve from another expensive European brand (rhymes with "Grow") we decided to go with a high-end brand, Kohler. Expensive but worth it, right?Our very good plumber spent some hours today installing, and guess what, it leaks, just like the brand it replaced.After a phone call, Kohler is sending us a replacement cartridge, but if and when that fails we'll be saving our money and going with a cheaper brand next time. You don't always get what you pay for.Update: Kohler's replacement cartridge arrived in a few days, and was fairly simple to install. Good news is it does what it's supposed to -- no leaking! So, I'm upping my rating to 4 stars -- docking 1 star because of the problems with the initial cartridge
