Disney: The Lion King (Disney Scripted Classics)

I got this for my husband as a Christmas present, and he was over the moon about it! It had concept art and everything to go along woth the script. He is a huge Lion King fan, and enjoyed ever minute of reading this!

I love the lion king and this book is so cool

Don't get me wrong, these books have lots of insight and storyboard info. But to say this is "THE FULL FILM SCRIPT" is not true. It's basically just the dialog with everything else removed. For example, in the book it reads:ZAZUDidn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?SCAR(sighs)What do you want?ZAZUI'm here to announce that King Mufasa's on his way, so you'd better have a good excuse for missing the ceremony this morning.Mouse runs away.SCAROh, now, look, Zazu. You made me lose my lunch.======In the actual screenplay, the above reads:ZAZU (o.s.)Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?SCAROh, Zazu. What do you want?REVEAL Zazu, the hornbill we met in the opening scene. Zazu blends regal with ironic edge. He reveres his boss (King Mufasa) and disdains anyone he perceives to be a low-life cretin -- which is pretty much everybody but the King.ZAZUI'm here to announce that King Mufasa's on his way. And you'd better have a good excuse for missing the ceremony this morning.The little mouse escapes to freedom.SCAR(mock sad)Now look, Zazu. You've made me lose my lunch.=======It's misleading to say this book (and "The Little Mermaid" book) contain "THE FULL FILM SCRIPT" when in fact, it doesn't. It's just the dialog and barely anything else. But again, points for including behind the scenes information.

This is not the actual movie script. There are no scene descriptions, scene numbers, or script version markings. This is someone typing the dialog (or copying and pasting or from any of myriad online sources).

As disappointed as possible. You can't give this away. Wasted money and a ruined holiday. Disgusting.

As a big fan of The Lion King, this book was a must have addition to my collection. While I expected to love it because it contains the script of the movie, I wasn't expecting to find the concept art, stories and facts about the making of the film to be as interesting to me as it was. I thought I knew a lot about the film and wouldn't find anything new of interest, but it turns out there is a lot I didn't know. It's interesting to see how the concept art differs from the final that is seen in the film and find out more about how it all came together to become one of the best Disney films of all time.

Excelente calidad del producto, a mis niñas les encantó este libro.

The book is very nice quality, great for someone who really loves the movie and would like to know all the little details (character designs, concept art etc.).

Ho fatto la corte a questo script da quanto era stato annunciato. Amo Il Re Leone, è stato il mio primo cartone al cinema da bambina.L'edizione è molto curata e ricca di illustrazioni, con i testi dello script originale del cartone. La copertina è in simil tessuto con scritte impresse in basso rilievo.La rilegatura è a filo, cosa che amo nei libri.Se volete farvi o fare un regalo, non ve ne pentirete!

A great book for both collectors and TLK fans alike.
