This is my third Hatterea Hammock, the other two were left behing when we movbed. We are not very happy with wood quality and execution of constrution.I understand that wood has natural patterns and imperfections, but in our case we have tons of little black spots that appear to be worm holes. In one area the wood is splintering. In some other areas on one foot beam, the wood was drilled out and plugs were inserted. Looks really ugly. The lag bolts are too long and stick out past the wood, creating a hazard when getting off. The mounting hooks for the hammock dont fit straight...Honestly, I had much higher expectations from Hattereas, especially for the price. Not sure if there will be a fourth.The strong constrution easely holds up to our use. Much stonger construction and better performance than some other wood structures out in the market. Desipte my bad luck, I think Hattereas is still the best.

We received the product quickly and on time, all in one group. We took it home and began assembly. Reading the previous review, I was nervous about things being there. We checked the inventory list and everything was accounted for in the hardware, however, there were 4 galvanized 3/8 x 10" carriage bolts missing, which were essential for assembly of the frame to the base beams. Fortunately Home Depot was open and I was able to get the bolts I required. My son assembled the structure (very large and impressive, 19' in length!) but his comments, without reading the previous review, were that all the holes were misaligned and had to really manouver things to fit in.All in all it is impressive, but if you order this, be aware of the potential for missing parts. I you are Hateras and reading this, please ship the missing bolts to your retailers so they can include them and reduce the inconvenience to the customer.

My wife always wanted one these wooden hammock stand for over 20 years now. So, for Mother's Day I bought her one. My wife was very impressed and she loves it. It is massive and worth every dollar. If you're thinking about getting one of this but somehow undecided because of the faulty reviews. Get it, don't even think about it. The wooden stand was delivered within a week and a half. I had no problems with the shipping and handling. It came in 3 big boxes, undamaged, and with every component and hardware accounted for. I had no problem putting it together. It consist of 6 curve beams, bolted together by 12 long bolts and nuts. All the holes lined up and I didn't have any problem putting it together.

This hammock stand is huge, but very beautiful. It is easy to see why it is so expensive. It is so sturdy that I would want to be in a hammock supported by it if a earthquake ever shook south Florida. It can be disassemble between seasons, but after putting it together once, I can't imagine why someone would go to the trouble to do so year after year. I will say that the alignment of the pre-drilled holes could be improved and it is very useful to have an extra pair of hands to help out when bolting it together. Set it up and enjoy it.

Are use this as my main bed and sleep on this every night this is an excellent stand very well-made and strong

This is the most expensive product in the category, so you would expect some average care from the seller. The product comes in three large boxes. Once opened, the hardware is literally packed with the instructions sheet that - guess what - is all ripped apart by the hardware itself. Once you rebuild the sheet with some tape and a lot of fantasy, you have to deal with some very poorly written instructions. Ok it's not rocket science anyway, so you can figure it out what to do giving a look at the pictures online.Then you build the whole damn thing, only to discover that the carriage bolts in the pack are one inch shorter than what they're supposed to be (10" instead of 11"), so they can't get out of the hole and you can't connect the nuts.Long story short - I've had to buy on Amazon a $30 package of the right carriage bolts.

I received this product 24 hours after I placed the order. The item was well packaged with no signs of damage. The instructions were well written and all the required assembly hardware was included in the shipment. Having owned several wooden hammocks in the past, this stand is by far the best. The material is of good quality cypress made in the USA. There are a few knots visible however the overall presentation is outstanding. The product states the item will "add drastically" to the look of your garden. I agree. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
