Great for the price

Makes her purr much nicer!!!
Love it! Install took roughly an hour. The hardest part was rounding up all the tools if you don't have very many variations of the "screwdriver." The filter came with a detailed diagram instruction packet and fits snug and perfect. After the install, I noticed the engine purr much nicer. I haven't seen a gas mileage effect just yet because the product was just installed and I've been pushing the truck slightly more that I normally do to listen to the sound. So far a great purchase for the truck and I would definitely do it over again if the truck needed another filter... but because it's a K&N, you'll never need another one!!! For anyone who needs assistance, I found a video on YouTube from K&N showing install process. It's really not hard at all and believe me, it makes the truck sound amazing from the front end. PROS: Great sounding growl from motor Not too hard to install Looks amazing under the hood without being too flashy Makes driving a little more fun CONS: Did not see a MPG increase Squeals at roughly 2,000 RPM Photos on instructions hard to see

I like it!
Easy install for advanced mechanic on my 2016 5.7 Tundra trd off road! Quick delivery, great price! Sounds good. A little loud when towing a camper up hill! Noticed a very small MPG gain and a smoother acceleration! I would recommend it! One thing to note is that when you disconnect the battery and re-connect after installing this intake on the Tundra it takes a few tank fill ups for the trucks computer to re calibrate the “miles til empty” screen option in the dash. Otherwise the gas gauge is un-effected and the truck runs good!

Parts missing great sound once installed
Easy to install but there were 2 brackets missing in the box. I was able to fabricate my own but still hard to believe considering the brand. 4 stars because of this. The sound of the engine once installed is awesome though and it looks great!!! Took about 1.5 hrs to install due to the missing parts.

STRESSFULL!!!
I love it 100%!!! Best unit on themarket for the price and the chrome looks great. The issue was the install. I have a brand new Tundra TRD and its black... so you know leaning over the truck was on the stressfull side :) It installed simple based on the part and directions but the fact it was my truck... you get the idea. Im a little concerned about the vacume line adapter, it seems a little brittle for a winter install, so i would wait till a warm day when you tighten it down. Other than that it looks great, sounds nice (no whistle) and seems to be great quality over all. I would buy again when i get another truck or car. Cant beat K&N, or the price Amazon charges!!!

Don’t Buy/Missing Parts on Multiple Reorders
WHATEVER YOU DO - DO NOT BUY THIS KIT 12/12/2025 UPDATE - I bought this back in June and had return it first and get a replacement due to lack of parts…..then I had to get extra parts kits twice anyway from KN because they failed to send me the complete list. Today i Just went to finally install, 6 months later, and had two more critical bolts required. I had to go to Lowe’s to find something that would work because o wasn’t call KN a third time for parts - completely ridiculous. I have used K&N in the past but I have ordered this product multiple times and each time the kit was missing all of the accessory bolts, nuts and brackets. I have had to call K&N to get the parts sent to me. I got the box of replacement parts and it was missing several items so I still could not install it for a second time. I am waiting for the 2nd box of parts and it’s been 3 months since my last Amazon reorder. Unfortunately, K&N has a bad quality control problem with its assembly packaging and its customer service phone line. Will see how the 2nd shipment of replacement parts goes.

Power increase for pennies on the dollar...
Easy installation! It took about 35 minutes to install the kit. The instructions were fairly clear. Only one minor issue with the ground cable attachment point, but that took just a second to figure out. The filter install was very straight forward. I had a pretty significant increase in torque or at least the "feel" I had behind the wheel. I didn't dyno my Tundra to know for sure, but I could very easily feel the difference. My MPG went up from about 12.5 ave to around 14.5 just around the city. Highway/freeway MPG is up to about 20.5 ave. I all I'm very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it as a quick, fun install with some really great results in my trucks performance! Love the improved "throaty" SOUND!

Great CAI, definitely wakes up the 5.7
The Cold Air Intake worked well for me on a heavily modded 2017 Tundra. With a 6” lift and 35s, it’s a lot to turn over. Also, I run a bully dog tune and have a winch bumper and winch so a hundred pounds or better additional weight on front of truck.Gas mileage jumped from 12.8 to 13.2 mpg (mainly highway driving with some city). The intake also allows the engine to maintain speed easier (I see less jumping around on the mpg view). Finally, it sounds great and throttle response is noticeably improved.

Some of the instructions were off regarding the mounting points, so we just winged it and nailed it. Gas pedal definitely feels lighter and fuel economy change is more and more noticeable. Not sure about the sound everyone claims to hear but otherwise this does the trick.

Normally K&N products are great. In this case, the seller shipped a package that was incomplete. It's been a Month (rec'd Sept 24th) and still nothing...the seller states that they're in contact with the manufacturer, but I'm still sitting with a useless box of parts. I was missing the following: 1. Mounting Brackets ("L" brackets) and hardware. 2. Gaskets for the MAF sensor 3. No adapter 4. No hose mender 5. No extension stud and nut for the engine mount Each of these items are explicitly listed in the installation manual, yet none were present. I assume this was a returned item that the previous purchaser stripped of these items. All I want is a replacement or these parts so that I can install the Cold Air Intake...I will update when I hear more. For now, I remain EXTREMELY disappointed with this purchase. UPDATE....well on Nov 7 I recieved word that they'd be "replacing" the missing parts. Since, I've had nothing. No communication, no updates, no tracking...I'm waiting in limbo (still) from Sept 24... we're now Nov 16th, so take what you will from this update. I should have simply returned this back on the 24th and gone elsewhere for my purchase. I hope this helps someone else from making the same mistake.
