I used this to replace the worn-out sisal rop on cat's scratching posts, and it is perfect. There's no smell or anything to put off the cats. I'm sure I'll eventually have to repeat the process, but so far, if anything, this rope may be fraying less than the rope that came on the scratching posts initially. When re-doing a scratching post, be sure to measure the old rope, because the length of rope that is wound on a scratching post is deceptively long.

This Sisal rope coil was perfect for my project. I had a cat tree that needed the rope replaced, as my cats had shredded factory installed rope, by scratching it. This 50 ft coil was enough to cover a 2x4 that was approximately 18" high, with about 6" left over. Its super easy to use, but I would suggest you use the longest staple that your staple gun can hold. The cats are clawing their post constantly and this rope has help up. I bought and installed the rope in Feb of 2016, it is now December 2016 and it looks like brand new, even with the constant scratching.I highly recommend this rope for cat tree projects and any thing else you would use Sisal rope for.

Used as replacement of ripped up twine on cat tower. Great, does the job. Not easily ripped up. Good length of rope.P.s. for cat towers make sure you use a good non toxic glue.

Used as decor for a Nautical party.

I bought this to refinish my cat's furniture - I purposely chose this one because its supposed to be oil & chemical free but this stuff smells nasty like the crappy sisal they sell in home improvement stores even thru the unopened package - I can't even keep it in my house - my eyes are burning - very disappointed - returning it - do not buy this for cats or animal use.

Glad that this rope wasn't treated with any pesticides, etc. because I needed something to repair my cats' favorite scratching post. This is some nice thick rope, and even after a year or so of daily scratching, I'm not seeing any fraying.

Just enough cord to redo a 3 ft cat scratcher tower. Had about 3 ft left over too. Great product, inexpensive compared buying a whole new scratcher.

I purchased to re-wrap a cat scratching post that was trashed. This was the perfect 3/8" size for replacement. I rewrapped the scratching post within about a half hour and it looked good as new when finished...and I saved money. I didn't smell any odors as mentioned in previous reviews. My cat and I are happy!

I glued this twine onto an old cat stand to replace the carpet on it that she had shredded. It looks nice.

Untreated sisal rope was hard to find, but this is just that - certainly what I was looking for. Thought it was expensive, however for the amount you get.

Just put it on one of the cat stands. Will see how it holds up.
