Perfect Cake Topper
My Grandson turned 4 in November and his cake request was a "blue spider cake"! Now, my specialty is red velvet cake with a home-made butter cream icing - and that is without anything in the way of decorations. But, for him, I wanted to try for a blue spider cake (even though spiders are my terror)! Having absolutely no thought that there might actually be "blue spiders" that I could use on top of the cake, Amazon came through with these (ugly) beauties! I made Oliver his blue cake (used blue coloring in a french vanilla white cake), with blue tint also in my home-made butter cream, learned how to do a spider web, and added these sweet spiders! Amateur decorator skills aside, he absolutely LOVED his blue spider cake!
