Not just another journal
Our copy came in today. I had intended this as for my middle child, since it’s not a typical journal that requires a lot of writing, but my other 4 children are disappointed they didn’t get one also, so I may need to get more.This is not like most of the FunSchooling journals we enjoy. There is less writing and actual journaling, and more reading, discussion, and activities. Honestly what comes to mind as a comparison is this compares to the other journals like how vacation Bible school compares to Sunday school. Both are good, and they look different from each other. That’s partly why I was drawn to this; because my son struggles with writing, I didn’t want something that was going to be more of it and feel like a chore. I want something he can pay attention to the content, and not have to divert concentration to holding a pen or forming letters. He was actually begging to start this earlier tonight, but it was time to eat, so he’ll have to wait til tomorrow.We’ve had a lot of church trauma, so I’m especially glad to find something that helps peak his interest towards God, and not drive a wedge in between.

An Answer to Our Prayers: An Amazing Book!
An amazing book! We have been using this book for family devotions. Each child and a parent has a book. The adventures are concise and engaging. It makes the Bible come alive. The activities are educational, innovative and fun. Each adventure is concise but the important points are highlighted in memorable ways. Cool characters are also used that maintain our attention.Overall the book is well written, thoughtfully and powerfully organized. It will truly help us all to grow in faith and character, as stated, while we become closer to God.We all truly love this book and are hoping that there will be a series with future books and additional Bible Adventures.

Engaging
I'm really excited for this I just looked through it for my son and I think it will really help him engage with the bible story he is reading and I love that the games and puzzles are more then just busy work they are fun and engaging challenging him to spell and play with words, reading comprehension, decoding and more. I'm really excited for him to dive into this one. To dive into God word in a exciting engaging way

Love it!
This is one of my favorite Thinking Tree Journals ever (and I have a LOT of them)! I love that it’s something we can do together as a family…I’ll read the story out loud, then each of my kids will do the fun activities in their own journal!

Great Activity Book
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I love this activity book from The Thinking Tree! If you are familiar with their journals understand that this is NOT a joirnal, but an activity book. There are 30 stories from the Bible each summarized on a single page. This is gollowed by several pages of games and/or activities that reinforce the message of the story. It is well-written and lots of fun for the entire family.

So disappointed I could cry
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Honestly horribly disappointed. Thinking tree usually has a great reputation. I have only had one other fun schooling journal. But I have seen so many used by other homeschoolers. I sincerely hoped this could be added to our lessons. But there is NO blank pages for the kids to write what they learn. It's a bunch of puzzles and silly games. I have purchased something similar from the DOLLAR TREE. So sad that this was so lame. The art work inside also wasn't to my expectations. Overall seems this book was rushed and out together poorly. Find an alternative. I know I will.

A++!
The Thinking Tree hits it out of the park yet again! We are so excited for this Bible activity book! This is perfect for family style teaching, or for individual kiddos to work on independently. This is a great choice for all kids, but especially if they aren’t so fond of writing, or just need a break from it. I love that Sarah try’s so hard to meet all children’s learning needs, not just the “writers”❤️

Great for summertime devotions with siblings or friends!
This is different from every other Thinking Tree book I've ordered and I love it for that! It is a devotional not a journal. There are well thought out Bible truths, activities, talking points, and games. It is meant to be interactive and fun, and it is just that. My 9 year old loved the choices of stories from Scripture and the variety of puzzles and games inside.Instead of writing a bunch, this book encourages kids and families to interact with the Bible and their families face to face in conversation and fun.
