Doesn't damage fruit!
I have a beautiful two-tiered wire fruit basket from Crate and Barrel. The wire though was raised and bruised all my fruit bananas and apples especially. Pears...I couldn't even put inside it as they were far too delicate. I was eyeing this basket and kept putting it off since I had a fruit stand already. I finally got tired of putting all of my fruit on the counter BESIDE my fruit basket because it caused too much damage. I am SO happy with this purchase. No more mushy, brown undersides of my bananas and the wire that rims the bowl is thick and smooth and does not cause any damage to the fruit. Very happy with this purchase.
