Small size is perfect for levelling electrical back box’s

Not all the sides give the same level indication, so they are not all equal. What I did was find the best side, then mark it. To find the best side place the level on a flat surface (as close to level as possible), take a note of the bubble position, rotate it 180° and see if the bubble is in the same position.There is still some slight variation, so don't expect too much at this price range. You can spend a few hundred £ to get a precise engineers level. Should be more than good enough for my use.

The three gave different readings

These were used to align a slot car tyre truing machine.With such small tyres they had to be set up perfectly horizontal.One level was set on the motor drive shaft and the other on the grinding plate.When they were set and adjusted the result was perfectly level tyres.

Bought to level a rifle scope. None of the three matched and I think only one was true to my 18" level.I sanded the bottoms of them all to get them closer and consistent, this took me an hour or so and they're still not totally accurate. In the end, I used one to level the scope, relative to itself.

This requires careful measurement to get a firm fit when inserting in a jig. It isn't as thick as 1/2 inch Baltic Birch plywood. Every time we use these the jig is level when the bubble says it is--and that without any special adjustments.
