Requires much better presentation and probably editorial input.
There may be genuine gems and memories in here but the cover encourages an expectation that is not met within. Kindly I suggest re-titling the book to meet it's best audience and photographing recently produced recreations of the dishes. The personal touches and supporting 'people pictures' with renowned musicians are the real value here but are let down by other outdated presentation. I love the idea of your book Mark and hope it can be more accessible to those who would enjoy it.

Not what I expected.
Unfortunately I only had a chance to look at the book content today, and missed the opportunity for a refund. I will not use or try any recipes. Too bad...

Recipes I Want To Try and Interesting Stories
I enjoyed some introduction to stars I remember and there are a lot of recipes here that I want to try, many by Mark Bego too. It's a good resource and I can't wait to test drive a few, from biscuits, grits, donuts, muffins, salads, minestrone, goulash, pasta dishes, chili, pizza, and many other interesting looking recipes.

Great quality cookbook that's entertaining, too!
Great quality cookbook packed with recipes, each accompanied with a color photo and a story from the music legend who contributed it. Not only is this a great cookbook for your kitchen, it's entertaining. I LOVE Spanky McFarlane's Baked Artichoke Dip, Freda Payne's Gumbo, Tanya Tucker's Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies, and author Mark Bego contributes awesome recipes of his own like Asian Style Green Beans and Cold Sesame Noodles. I bought two copies -- one for my kitchen and one for a foodie friend. Super holiday gift -- you won't be dissapointed.

Most of the recipes are the authors, kitschy photos
For the price it was fun to look through, but I wouldn’t cook more than one or two recipes. Definitely not rock stars.
