Perfect little soaps for the whole year!
This of course works just as good for soap making as any other silicone pan would do. Easy to remove, easy to clean, the soaps turn out lovely, etc. But my uses are a bit more specific. I actually got this pan specifically because the cavities are smaller. I make my own soap for my body and hair, but I use a different fragrance each month (yes I'm a little crazy like that). So I have 12 fragrances for 12 little cavities full of soap! I just mix it in and stir with a toothpick while it's in the little loaf. Works perfectly and if I cut them in half, it gives me just enough soap for about a month, so I don't have to store a half used bar of soap. I've also used these in gifts. There's something about miniature sizes that just make something feel extra special and cute. I still have my large silicone loaf pan for my regular non-scented soap, but it's great not to have to make a giant batch of soap for every fragrance. This might not work for everyone, but it's something that has worked out wonderfully for my needs.

Perfect Pan
To the people who are surprised by the size of this pan, I have to say (and this goes for all such purchases, folks): Don't buy from the picture. Read the description. They tell you the size. If I see one more person complain in a review that they "were expecting an Irish Setter puppy, but all I got were some smelly sticks," I'm going to scream. Just because the rawhide chews had a PICTURE of hunting dog on the front panel doesn't mean they were selling you a damned dog in a plastic baggie. This pan has 12 cavities that make delightful individual loaves of breads both quick and yeast-risen, as well as mini breads for hosting or gifting that are just the right size. If you want a neat way to present a dinner roll or drop biscuit, this is brilliant. Try pressing your canned biscuit dough in each well, cut a slit down the center lengthwise in each, and let them crown. Brush the tops with melted butter, sprinkle on herbs, oats, seeds, whatever you like, and bake. You don't have to stick your finger in some fat little white blobby guy's belly to get giggles of delight. A great option versus muffin tin for cupcakes and sweet treats like muffins and banana bread. And anything you'd serve with a meat and cheese board looks more creative and couture when it's shaped like a loaf and not a glop. Stop hating, and start baking. Clean up is a snap and a spray of nonstick before use insures perfect unmolding each and every time.

Works well, great results.
This is just what I hoped for. You will want to read through the instructions and be sure to coat with oil or cooking spray so that your food doesn't stick. And even if it does stick, it's easy to clean. Yay! We've already made mini bread loaves, individual brownies (a BIG hit) and miniature banana bread loaves (the BIGGEST hit), both of which turned out great even though I was adjusting the baking time. So far it's been easy to swap between "regular" sizes and the little molds. One batch of breadstick dough made twelve loaves. One batch of brownies (intended for a 9x9) filled the petite mold perfectly. My banana bread recipe usually makes three medium-sized loaves and instead we did two loaves and filled the mold with the equivalent of the last loaf. Baking times were shortened and the goodies were devoured. Freshware also seems to be quite customer-aware. I'm pleased with every aspect of my order, and I'm excited to try more from Freshware.

A little flimsy but still great for baking
I just used this for the first time to make banana bread mini loaves (more like banana bread brownie-sized loaves). It worked beautifully - my banana bread turned out great - and the best part was the removal..l let it cool & I was able to literally lift them straight out...I was shocked (I thought I'd at least have to peel away the mold, but no!). However I do have one complaint, it's too flimsy - I thankfully suspected it would be beforehand & filled it with a mesh grate underneath it. I tried lifting it & the middle row just bowed in - so I just put it in the oven along with the grate (which is actually what we use for cooking pizza). I have another silicone mold used for candy or ice cubes (so it's very very small, about 6x8 I'd say) - it's of little lego figures - and in between the molds on the bottom side there are bars connecting each mold (so when looking at this mold in the photos shown there would be bars in between each cup) - I didn't get why they were there till I filled it up with juice to make some mini juice pops for my son - the mold stayed perfectly flat as I put it in the freezer. Something like this would do wonders for this product.

Silicone is a wonderful product to use both for baking and soap- making. I bought these particular molds for soap making, and they worked like a charm. It was easy to pour and level the soap, and when I took out the soap bars, I simply inverted each mold. One note: the entire mold is silicone and highly flexible. This means that it is very difficult to move a filled mold without damaging what has been poured. I suggest using a baking sheet underneath this mold if you need to move it. The finished size of each bar a typical for a soap bar - they are not to large. I ended up cutting each bar in half for single- sized usage.
