Book has many, many pics and a lot of ideas for decks. Even pics of decks with pools, decks with benches, different skirting ideas. Soft cover. Has directions to build decks, too. I used it to give me ideas bc I’d never done a deck before. Decided to get it done professionally but I used pics from this book to form my own.

In my opinion, I liked the book and the quality of the photos and the descriptions provided, along with the measurements in the back with sources listed; cool stuff.When I got to the end, I was unhappy because I wanted more ‘eye-candy’; aww, more please!Anyone a DIY’er as myself, I might add, I’m no pro—but highly fascinated by the beauty in the craftsmanship displayed here; I could recommend this book to anyone like… you know, me!

When I ordered this book, I had no idea what type of deck I was looking for. This book helped me to get ideas for deck designs, configurations, railing ideas, etc. It has helped me along the way of deciding what I'd like.

Many great ideas in this book. I took from various pages ideas to complement a total design profile to show the landscaping company what I wanted. Very pleased with this book.

It is a beautiful, beautiful book. We were looking for actual designs though or plans and it is not a book with step by step directions but rather a book showcasing some amazing decks and builders. It's a great coffee table book, but not very helpful for a DIY project. We did enjoy looking through it and day dreaming about being able to build some of the elaborate decks featured throughout.

I got this book to rebuild our current deck. Love it. Lots of plans that will work for us
