Nice pottery
This is for a friends garden which she has just re done with a Moroccan theme. The ashtray came very well packaged and is a good size. the blue colour is not as vivid as the photo and the lid is plain blue not mosaic as the picture suggests. It will look nice on her outside table and I am sure she will like it. The handle is not held on by very much so only time will tell if it falls off. All in all a decent object for a decent price.

Me and my partner love this ashtray
We have had compliments from guests that have come over and seen it on our balcony. Really lovely and well made ashtray. It’s heavy enough that the wind doesn’t move it. It looks more expensive than it is. Great value for money 10/10

Absolutely stunning!
Excellent quality glazed pottery ashtray that looks more like a large trinket box and is aesthetically pleasing. Personally, I think it’s a waste of beautiful glazed pottery and wish it was a trinket box. However, my father-in-law needed an ash tray for family/carers to use outside as he’s got COPD and hates people putting cigarettes out on his path. As my sister-in-law smokes the most this was much appreciated by her, and she liked it so much she’s buying one for her home. She doesn’t have one with a lid and it’s already come in handy in the rain and winds at her father’s home. The ashtray is heavy so it’s been safe on the bench but it’s taken back in after use, as my father-in-law likes glazed pottery and this fits in with other pieces in his home too. I thought the glazing was beautiful when I looked it over, it’s definitely worth the asking price. I’m not keen on the way the handle is secured inside the lid but it’s a minor issue.

Good price for an ashtray that should last for years
This arrived well-packaged in Styrofoam, with the lid packed separately from the ashtray, so no chance of damage in transit. My wife was going to keep this for outside use, but changed her mind because the depressions you rest a cigarette on let rainwater into the ashtray, so that the butts end up floating in water. Otherwise she was very pleased with it:“It has beautiful colours, with lovely shades of blue and brown. It might be slightly better if there were a knob on the top instead of the ring, as a knob is easier to grab when you want to lift the lid off to use it. I’m not sure how long the ring will stay on, but it looks very secure.I have been using it indoors with a fan on, and as the ashtray is so deep the breeze does not disturb the ash at the bottom of the bowl, so it does not blow about at all. It has a large capacity too; as it is quite heavy it stays put, and this will prove a useful deterrent to our cats, as they are always knocking things off tables onto the floor.”

Nice Ashtray. [Blue] 🚬
Arrived very sturdily packaged so little or no chance of breakage.Once unwrapped the 13.5cm⌀ x 8.6cm ashtray looks really stunning. As with most glazed pottery there is some variation in the colour & finish, mine is a more "stormy" blue green sea colour compared to the one in the picture, but I honestly prefer it. The glazing is well done and the lid is slightly larger than the one in the Amazon page's picture. This gives a better fit & will shed any rain better. If it didn't have the three cutouts for resting cigarettes I'd be tempted to use it as a bon bon bowl, it would look stunning filled with some sugared almonds or Turkish delight/lokum.The little metal handle is held in place by what looks like one of the old fashioned brass "split pin" paper fasteners, its of a heavy enough gauge metal that it supports the ceramic lid well.Being highly glazed inside & out emptying & cleaning is easy, when tipped out pretty much all the ash leaves it, anything stuck to it can be sluiced out with water.Having a lid means that it keeps the smell of cigarettes inside, this should keep the room/area smelling fresher. The ashtray is heavy enough that the wind strong enough to knock it over would be giving you other things to worry about... like structural damage to your house. Plus with its size it'll accommodate quite a few heavy smokers of an evening without needing to be emptied. The manufacturers claim up to 100 cigarette buts.Really nice looking ashtray & at a price of £11.99 very good value for money in my book. I'm tempted to get more to place elsewhere.
