It’s well made. Looks great. The pen stand is solid heavy metal so it won’t fall over. Reminder, this doesn’t come with an ink well. Just the bottle of ink. The quills on the feather were a little bent up from shipping but not a big problem. Over all very pleased.

My mother recently began practicing calligraphy so I figured this would be a suitable Christmas present. It came looking exactly like the picture (: The box it comes in is beautiful and I think it will be a really lovely gift. Great buy!

Got this as a birthday present for my boyfriend, he's wanted a calligraphy pen for a while. As others have noted the packaging does fall off when opening it, but it is easily fixed with super glue. Great design and received it in perfect condition.

This was supposed to be the best quill set and come with 2 inks. I purchased two and a cheaper one for $25 from the same conpany as well (for gifts). When they arrived and I opened the boxes, I was shocked to find only one ink was included. Also the quill set was IDENTICAL to the $25 quill I also purchased. All 3 are the exact same.So the only reason this is 1 star is bc you are paying double the price for LITERALLY no reason whatsoever.

Love this and use it constantly. I've ordered more wax as well as some seals because this is now my preferred method of letter writing. I would recommend this as a gift that someone who likes tradition might really love.

Its ok for a grown up but if you plan to get it for a child like i did.. then its waste of money.. I got it for a very artistic 9 year old gal and she freaked out when the stain didnt come from her hand which she accidentally got from the ink.. it might be a good deal for grown ups... i just wasted 40 buck on this thing which she will never use unfortunately..
