The 3 stars because this type of project is not for everyone... these type of plants need care and attention... whomever takes them on need to know everything about the plant. For bonsai beginners like myself, they are fun project to take on. I've got 6 willows (2x weeping, 2x hybrid and 2x dragon claw).

I received three starts and two are blooming like crazy. Very excited to plant them.

It's 12 days since I put 3 cuttings in water. Today I removed 2 cuttings and planted them because of the size of roots and of the plant itself. One did not make it. It got soft in 2 places but I was only suppose to get 2, I am very happy. I will take pictures. One is really great. The other is not as full but for 12 days great. I am thrilled with this product.Back again plants are doing great since I transplanted them. They require water every day a small amount and I spray them well once a day. Great product.

Ordered 2 sticks and got an extra one! After 3 weeks, the one stick took off and I potted it right away!Going to leave the other 2 sticks to root for another week or two- they are also thriving incredibly with long roots and leaves shooting out.

I have only had these black willows for 5 days. After reading so many negative reviews I can only imagine people didn’t follow the instructions properly. Both cuts I received are rooting and budding perfectly and will be strong enough to be potted in another 3 weeks.Update: 2nd photo is 9 days after acquisition

Cuttings arrived quickly and were packed very well and despite being delivered on a cold snowy day all three tooted very quickly and are thriving indoors under my plant lights with other bonsais I would definitely recommend these and the YouTube tutorial for getting them to root is also a very nice addition to ease of getting some very nice willow trees started.

I placed these willows in water as directed. Planted them when the roots were substantial. I also play a tenor sax in the same room. When I became aware that my wife’s cat liked the willows and ate them like a salad. These willows are putting on new growth like the champs they are.

I put my twigs in this styrofoam cup sat the cup beside my window not in full sun, and this is 3 weeks of growth .I think they will be ready for planting in a couple of weeks. I am very happy with my purchase .
