Pricey but good.
Rubberband is bit of a hassel. It discourages you to use it.

Up to the phone devices and a power supply
Swinging: Even though I start the swing with a large swing (larger angle from the rest position), it eventually fixes to a designated angle.Tried three different Android phone models. Device 1 (LG V20) did not work on this (did not count steps) while device 2 (LG G8 ThinQ) and device 3 (Samsung Galaxy S22) worked just fine.Details:1. LG V20: This device did not work at all. I tried this device with the phone case, without the phone case, the phone in an upright position, the phone in upside-down position, facing forward, facing backward. Nothing worked. Absolutely no step count.2. LG G8 ThinQ: Step count works just fine. With or without the phone case, in an upright or upside-down position did not matter. It just works very well on this device.3. Samsung Galaxy S22: Just as same as LG G8 ThinQ (device 2), the step count works very well with this device. Conclusion: consider a purchase if you find your device is sensitive enough to detect the gentle swing. For an instant, try to mimic your phone to swing as shown in phone rockers. If you find your phone takes ~50% (or lower) of your gentle swings into steps, your phone device may not be suitable for the phone rocker. On the other hand, if you find your device takes ~100% of your gentle swings, there is a higher chance that your device may be suitable for the phone rocker.I am happy with my purchase, but I am somewhat sad that it does not work for all devices equally. If it worked for all devices, I would have given it 5 stars. (It is probably the limitation of all kinds of phone rockers?)----------------------------------------Update: Its performance depends on which power supply you connect it to. When I used a weak power supply, it refused to work. The swing was so weak that step counts did not increase. I thought it broke in a few days. But when I connected it to a strong power supply, it worked just fine. Then the step counts increased very well again.
