Mother Dirt Sulfate Free Shampoo, Natural and Preservative Free, 3.4 fl oz

What an odd product. I'd been using New Wash for a few weeks before this, which takes me over 30 mins just to apply and thoroughly rinse out. While I loved the resulting texture, no one has that kind of time. Mother Dirt is more like a regular shampoo in terms of sudsing and quick application and rinsing. It feels crazy dry though. Combing my hair out afterwards is pretty difficult, but I haven't resorted to using a detangler since I want to evaluate this by itself.When I let this air dry, the feel was a bit odd. Extremely dry and straight hair but quick to get oily again, and did not respond well to dry shampoo. This morning I washed and blow-dried my hair, and it's beautiful. Feels very soft and "healthy", and I don't see much frizz or anything like that. So I'll probably continue to use this whenever I intend to blow-dry my hair, and I'll use New Wash when I intend to air dry my hair and have the time to spend an hour in the shower.

For something that's supposed to be gentle and natural, it really caused my scalp to be super dry and itchy and flaky. I had to go back to my old routine. My scalp has always been sensitive and finicky so it's probably just me. I searched high and low before I got a routine that sort of works. I had high hopes for this but it didn't work out. I'm no longer have the original packaging to send it back so I think I'll use it as a body wash in combo with the bacteria spray instead.Update 12/10/2016:The company Mother Dirt contacted me and gave me a refund which was really amazing of them. I have since tried the shampoo again and realized that it's a really great clarifying shampoo. When I used my conditioner regularly, i.e. not excluding the scalp like Mother Dirt recommends, my hair comes out beautiful and my scalp comfortable. That's why I increased the star rating. Still not 5 because by applying conditioner onto the scalp, I killed all those AO+ bacterias.

I very much liked the first bottle of shampoo I received. I have MCS, so the most important thing to me was the lack of fragrance. I had no reaction to the shampoo at all. The next thing I liked was that I could go without conditioner--big money and time saver & really nice for travel. The major problem I had was when I took my second bottle on vacation. I hadn't used this bottle yet because my first bottle lasted quite a bit longer than I expected--also a good thing. However, the pump did not work at all. I couldn't get the shampoo out of the bottle so it was worthless.Shampoo would get an easy 5 stars if it was in a bottle that worked and that allowed the user to see how much shampoo was left, but it doesn't matter how good the shampoo is if it can't be used.***I originally wrote the above review with a rating of only 2 stars. However, the company contacted me and went above and beyond to make things right so I changed the review to 5 stars. They also stated that they had a new bottle/pump in the works which should be available in a few weeks.***

Exactly what the headline says. The bottle is tiny, especially for a chick with a thick head of hair and a little one with long hair that plays outside all of the time. We use one bottle way too fast to continue to use it as our "regular" shampoo, which totally sucks because I love what the shampoo does for my hair. Please give us a better deal, please! And I don't mean an insert mailer/postcard with our purchase for 10% off after we've already bought the product. I mean, give us a normal size bottle of shampoo. 16 - 22 ozs makes a world of difference for a small family that loves playing outside but always gets super dirty. This shampoo bottle looks like it was made for an elf.

I bought this shampoo because I am allergic to a lot of ingredients in natural shampoos but didn't want to buy the heavily chemical kind. I have found that this shampoo works well and I'm not allergic to it so I'll keep buying it.I gave 4 out of 5 stars because I wish it smelled pretty. I get why they make it fragrance-free, but in a perfect world it would also make my hair smell like a summer afternoon :)I have long, fine wavy hair and I use 1 pump, lather-rinse-repeat every other day. The bottle has lasted the whole 8 weeks but I can tell it is getting pretty low, so I don't think there's much waste. It lathers well, particularly the second time. I do wish it smelled like grapefruit or vanilla, but then it wouldn't be so gentle. *sigh* life is a trade-off

I'm not sure how it does it... magic maybe... but now my hair can go a week between washes (use water but don't need shampoo). I think it's because this shampoo doesn't coat it with chemicals. I like the way it does not have a strong scent, or any kind of residue. Great container too, small enough for travel but big enough to last a long time considering it only seems to take a little bit to get a great lather and shampoo. I have not invested in the A0 mist to go with it yet.

I like this shampoo, it makes my hair look great (shiny) and it has taken care of the winter dandruff. The problem is that if the bottle gets dropped (I'm one of 5 that use the shower including children so people are always moving and dropping bottles AND I have MS which makes me drop things) it breaks the bottom seal and renders the pump useless. This has happened to me twice for a total of three pump problems. The first time the pump just broke. The company promptly replaced that one though.

So far, I'm loving this shampoo and it seems to be what I've been looking for in a shampoo for years because I've been looking for a more balanced shampoo that matches my face as well as my hair, if that makes sense...I haven't been using it long, but I get compliments every day that I've used it so far--more compliments than other shampoos that I've used. Also my husband compliments me all the time. I hope the formula never changes because it seems too often when I've found something I've liked this well it either gets discontinued or the formula will change. I will update my review after I've used it a little longer, but as of now I couldn't be more impressed! Thank you to the creators of Mother Dirt Shampoo!!

Bonjour,J'ai acheté ce produit car j'ai un cuir chevelu sec, qui démange avec des pellicules disgracieuses. Au bout du deuxième shampooing j'ai ressenti les effets avec des démangeaisons très fortement atténuées mais j'ai encore ces pellicules sèches même si c'est atténué.Je revenais commander le shampooing avec une contenance plus importante pour mes filles qui ont le même souci, mais envoyant le prix qui est passé de 16€ (prix que je trouvais déjà élevé compte tenu de la contenance) à plus de 40€, je dis que c'est tout simplement scandaleux!!!! Ils ne pourront pas compter sur moi pour être leur mouton!dommage car ils perdent des clients en agissant ainsi!

Je ne le trouve pas assez fort il ne me calme pas mes démangeaisons mais ce produit à une très bonne composition. je ne comprends pas non plus pourquoi il a autant augmenté je l'ai acheté 16 € aujourd'hui il est à plus de 40 €. Je ne pense pas le racheter.

J’attendais beaucoup de ce shampoing soit disant miraculeux mais il n’en est rien.Que cela soit pour mon compagnon ou moi-même nous n’avons senti aucune différence.Nos demengeaisons n’ont jamais disparu, et aucune sensation de bien être.C’est fort dommage.

J ai testé carje cherche un shampoing qui ne irrite pas le cuir chevelu, fait son job mais c est pas encore mon idéal

Il lave, certes. Mais aucun effet notable/notoire chez nous.
