I'm trying to get some young men interested in something besides screens. It's been a year's long battle. This is my latest attempt. One of their friends started doing some forging and blacksmith type thing and I thought this just might be the thing.I wanted to do my part so I got them some accessories, these included. They took their first class and it was pretty successful because thy said they wanted to go again to the next one.I guess these aren't the best quality, but I didn't want to spend a lot if they chose not to pursue it.Down the road if they decide to get in deeper and get equipment at home, then they'll know what equipment they need/want.For now, this works and fulfills our needs.

These help keep sparks from burning through he top of my shoes. I don't wear them all the time, but when I need them, they seem to work fine.

Overall, these are ok and will do the job. The fit and finish leaves a lot to be desired, but since they are for function and not looks, its not a huge deal. These had a terrible smell out of the package. I let them air out in the garage for about a week and its fine now, but wow did they have a pungent chemical odor out of the box. Shoe straps and nice big velcro pads will keep these in place.

Good durable leather with large strong Velcro. Fits well and offers ample protection for size 9 shoes. Recommend
