Strong enough to support the weight of my curious cat and a lamp and the bits I need. Really simple but effective design. It’s slightly expensive for what it is but it fits on my Ikea bed and I don’t have space for a table. Really please with it.

Bought this and didn't expect much. However very sturdy. I have a Stanley cup with ice water in it over night along with my medication and phone. So easy to use. love it.

Used to hold a projector above our bed frame and works great. Could do with some padding on the mounting screws but otherwise it works just fine.

I live in a flat which has quite narrow rooms, meaning a proper bedside table stops half the drawers opening for me to get clothes out. This little gadget is a perfect solution - slip it on and tighten the clamps at night, take it off again in the morning.When it's clamped on, it's sturdy (enough to easily survive my cat jumping on it from the windowsill about two feet above it) and the drinks-holder helps a great deal with cat-proofing your drink of an evening.There's a lip around the edge to stop things rolling off, and it even helpfully has a couple of wire-threading notches in the lip, which is a nice design touch. Works well.
