Monstress Volume 5: The 2019 Education Inspection Framework

I am a huge fan of this book series. Both the writing and artwork are phenomenal. The book was delivered on time and in a great condition.

Been waiting avidly for each volume to come out. Sad I have to wait another year for volume 6.Great story, and amazing art - it's a grahic novel worth reading.

I have purchased the previous volumes in the series and the artwork and story are worthy of the accolades andawards that it has received.

I've found that the "tone" of each of the Monstress collections differs from the last, and this one's no exception, but I'm not sure "muddled" is a good tone to be going for. I think probably the goal was to start tying plot threads and character arcs together in this volume, but -- with some characters not having been relevant for years when reading in real-time -- it mostly felt like an exercise in trying to remember why I should care. Usually, I can fall back on the beautiful art to keep me intrigued, but even the typically gorgeous work by Takeda seemed to be unusually bleak and muddied in this volume. I don't know that I'm going to bother with picking up later volumes.

My son loves graphic novels and this didnt disappoint! Fantastic graphics and storyline!
