Amazing Dog Door, made of aluminum not cheap plastic
The media could not be loaded. I've installed several plastic pet doors from a home improvement store which were okay. They did the job. I had to replace that said doggie door as I was getting a new door installed and wanted to move the doggie door into the wall. That company no longer carried that particular size so I couldn't buy accessories which led me to Amazon and finding this amazing dog door. This dog door is not the cheap plastic, but yet the entire door including the lockout door is all made of aluminum and powder coated with a white paint. It is a very sturdy and very professional looking doggie door. It has three flaps one on each side and a middle flap for insulation which I ended up. Taking out made it extremely difficult for the dog to push through with three of those in place. So I left the two outered doors and now my dog can easily push through. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow and made for a beautiful insulation into the wall with no issues and was shocked at how solid it feels and looks in the wall. The value for your money with buying this compared to the cheap plastic ones. This ended up being cheaper than those plastic ones. Aunt provides more functionality and better sizes were offered with this than the plastic ones.If you're looking for a new dog door, I highly recommend investing in this company's product

Good quality, dog door worth the money!
This dog door is fantastic! It is made a really strong material and I believe it hold up well against the elements. I love the fact that it has three flaps. I can definitely tell a difference, especially going through the winter that it helps prevent the extra cold air from coming in. The only downfall with the three flaps is that it is too heavy for my little Chihuahua to use. We still have to let her out using our sliding door, which is kind of annoying, but she wants to go out a lot less than our beagle. The lock feature is great as we cover the door every night to prevent animals or other creatures from coming in or even to prevent theft. Our beagle has absolutely no issue going in and out. It was easy to install. I think it is reasonably priced for the quality you get. I would definitely recommend this door to anyone in the market for a good quality dog.

Very well made and clear instructions
Well made door. I would definitely buy again. The instructions were clear. The telescoping feature accommodated the wall nicely. And I like having a metal door to close on it as compared to the plastic door I had in our other dog door. Somebody could easily break in through the plastic door. This metal door would be much more difficult. I chose a large size for my female German shepherd and our other pit bull mix. they're both about 80 lbs and they acclimated to it easily. I had some hurdles to deal with in cutting through our wall (electrical wire, studs, etc.) but once I worked around that issue, the baboni dog door slid in and worked perfectly.

Excellent Quality and Value
Extremely high quality all metal door. Comparable to similar doors that cost 5 times as much and install was very straightforward. The middle flap does a great job at insulating from outside temperatures and sunlight. I highly recommend this door!

Great door- but read this if you live somewhere it gets below 30 degrees
I bought this doggy door for my 3 Labrador retrievers so they can take themselves outside. This was the best door I could find without spending $5-600+. It seems pretty well made and durable. I did have to return the first one as the corner got bent during shipping.I live in PA - so weather here is mostly cold and rainy. It was important to me to find a door that was energy efficient. There’s nothing energy efficient with a hole in the side of your house- but you try to find the closest thing to it. I had my dad who is a contractor install the door for me so I can’t attest to the installation part, but will report there was minimal swearing and only took about an hour to complete. Extra insulation was padded around the frame of the door and framed into the wall so it won’t budge over time and use.Pros:Built wellThe magnets are pretty strongDoor flaps are thickSize is very bigLooks very cleanCons:The metal door- why is it only notched on the one side beats me. I will say I’m glad it came with the hardware (the thing with the spring that holds the door up by the notch) as we just added it to the other side with a second notch so the door isn’t crooked, I added a photo. Bonus- it adds a layer of security as the door can only be opened from the inside. Unless you break it from outside in.The magnets seem to not want to stick when they get a little dirty, so I have to wipe them with a wet cloth from time to time.Things I can’t really comment on at this time, but will update after a few months of use:The door flaps- yes I had them as a pro, but being in PA in January it does get pretty cold. I noticed the flaps get very stiff and with a breeze will not magnetize and cold air flows in. You can see this door was build in a closet, so I’m able to close the door and not feel the draft, but if you plan on buying this door please keep that in mind. It could be that after some use this may not be a problem as the material stretches and becomes more fluid- but it’s at least worth mentioning for the time being.Update- June 11th 2024I have returned! It has been well over a year since I had this doggy door installed. This has been my primary use of letting my dogs outside every day since install. A few key takeaways since my initial review-The flaps have not gotten fluid with use and age, so when a breeze comes along or when it gets cold, they do open up and air does come in. If this is a big deal for you, I’d recommend getting stronger magnets to help the flaps stay closed. This has been easy to clean over time in terms of mud and dust. Nothing has broken down and it’s holding up incredibly well over the use it’s endured in the last year and a half.I should mention, I have 3 Labrador retrievers ranging in size from 60 to 95 lbs, the door is more than big enough for them to use. As someone who is 5’7” and 190 lbs, I can crawl through this door. This was purely for review reasons and I definitely did not accidentally lock myself out of my house…Overall- the door has held up to my expectations and I’m looking forward to many years of use and freedom for my dogs to relieve themselves or sunbathe. By no means is it perfect, but for the price, quality, and rigorous Lab testing that this has been put through it is well worth its price point.
