D Is for Destiny Hardcover – Picture Book, October 4, 2016

Bought it for my niece and nephew. Read it to them for bed, and when I reached Hive, my niece says, "They're scary. Are they going to get us?" I said no, at which point my niece completely forgot about the Hive. She loves scary things. I told them how I was a Titan, their dad was a Hunter, and their other uncle was a Warlock. Even regaled them with some of our exploits after finishing the book, as they both watched their dad play and knew some of the game.After two cups of water, a dinosaur story, brushing teeth, and the eternity that is putting down toddlers, my niece crashed hard. When I tucked in my nephew, tears streamed down his cheeks. "The Hive are going to get us." His sister planted the seeds of horror."They're on the moon. Don't worry about it.""What if they come down from the moon to get us?""Your dad and I killed thousands, maybe tens of thousands, of them. You couldn't be in a safer place.""But that was in a game, Uncle Paul.""Dude, the Hive are in a game, so if they can come out and be real, your dad and I can be guardians."Confusion exhausted his tears and soon he was asleep. I think his sister likes messing with him.Art's beautiful, the wording is good, I enjoyed it, so did my niece. I think my nephew recovered.

I picked this up as a gift for the Destiny super fan in my life. They (29 y/o hetero male) LOVED this "children's" book. They had no idea this book existed and showed it off to their clan who also didn't know about it.Apparently, this started as an office gift among the employees that developed game and was later published in a limited run book. Awesome find. Would make for an awesome gift.

I'm a big Destiny fan, so when I found out that Bungee was coming out with a book that was formerly an employee exclusive I really wanted to get my hands on it. Coincidentally, I had a daughter on the way that would be just old enough to enjoy being read to when this book finally came out. The story presented isn't so much a story as it is a series a small poems based on the alphabet. There's a poem for each letter and accompanying artwork. I think the book is beautiful and my daughter seems to enjoy being read to.If you're a fan of Destiny, this book is a cool collector's item, but if you also happen to have young children this is an endearing piece that you and he or she can share.

My son is crazy about Destiny. He's five, and he's better at it than some adults. Anyway, he asked if there were any Destiny books, and on a whim I told him I would look. I didn't even hesitate to purchase this when I found it. I have read it to him almost every single day since it arrived. It is well illustrated, well written letter by letter. It incorporates elements of the game and puts a fun spin on it for a small child to enjoy.. Like in one of the pictures a "bad guy" character is wearing a propeller cap and has a yo yo. There's also really meaningful messages in there too. Great purchase.

I'm a huge Bungie/Destiny fanboy and when I heard I was having a kid, the first thing I looked into was gaming baby books. This book is perfect! I love explaining all the lore to her even though she's 14 months old.

This is adorable! It's the perfect book for my husband to read to our child. He was so happy to read through it and see the art work they included. It's the perfect Alphabet book for anyone who loves Destiny, every letter has a rhyme about something in the game to secretly teach your child about the story and/or characters.

Cute book for the video gamers child

My husband and I are expecting our first child and I ordered this book because we are pretty avid Destiny fans. This book seems very durable and well-made. The pictures and descriptions are entertaining for adults so this can be enjoyed by all ages. The lore is a little outdated as some of the topics predate the released game, but that does not detract from the book's quality at all. I can't wait to share it with our little one!

I got this for my daughter last Christmas. She is only 3, but someday maybe she and I can embark on our own fireteam adventures in the future.

Great book, if you’re looking for emblems this doesn’t come with one though 😂! Still worth the buy though if you’ve got kids

Amazing book for any destiny fan with a little guardian!

My other half absolutely loved this! We are expecting our first child, and he is a huge Destiny fan. So this was just perfect for him. The illustrations are beautiful and the poems inside are very sweet.
