DualShock 4 Wireless Controller for PlayStation 4 - Jet Black

The quality is a 10/10, joysticks are really smooth when moving around, really easy to use like the others, connected to my console really quick without any hassle, the battery last really long almost the entire day, button reactions are really precise when playing fast paced games, overall I give this product a 5 star rating.

Bought this for a friend and he’s been very happy with it. Connected easily, works perfectly, and all the buttons and controls respond well. No issues so far.

Like many people, I experienced a dead pack-in controller and needed a replacement. I suspect there's something to that - the console controller may skimp on quality in some of its versions. But these add-on controllers have been perfect so far. Overall I think this is the best DualShock in history, although I do think it makes some steps backward. Pros: -Unlike the Xbox equivalent, the Sony DualShock puts the D-Pad first. This is great for some genres, such as fighting games. It's potentially less good for others, such as shooters. Overall though, the Dual-Shock definitely has one of the better d-pads among its competitors. -Triggers are shaped correctly. Sony shaped its triggers backward on previous controllers, so when you pulled, the controller could squirt out of your hands. Now the triggers are shaped correctly, fixing this longstanding issue. -Battery life is good-but-not-great. I can easily get a day's play on one charge, but it does have to be recharged daily. Avid gamers might actually need some extra controllers charging all the time just to keep up. Cons: -Battery cannot be replaced under warranty. Sony hopes you'll throw the controller in the garbage and buy a new one. It's fairly simple to change the battery is you have basic tools (drivers and spadgers), but Sony would still prefer you to spend more with them than service yourself. -The touchscreen is a gimmick. It doesn't get used in almost any game I play, nor would I want it to be. -The on-controller speaker is a gimmick. Annoyingly, there is no universal way to switch this off. Many games, such as "Project CARS", play certain sounds on the controller at a constant volume no matter how your TV is set. That's really dumb. The only way to fix this is to use a headset with your controller, which I don't bother to do, so I just try to avoid games with this annoying feature. -The light on the front of the controller is mostly annoying to me. It lights up my room when I'm playing at night, which is just annoying in most games. I went into the menu and turned the light to its minimum setting, so now I never notice that it exists except for that moment when I look to see if the controller turned on. -The "Share" and "Option" buttons are very poorly placed. You need to wedge your thumb into the nook of the controller, and many games put an important menu on the Options button, so you have to access it all the time. That's really annoying. I'd rather have these buttons on the face of the controller, than have the buttons so hard to access. Overall: This controller has some serious flaws, but considering the pluses - like the correctly shaped triggers - I'd still say it's one of the better DualShock controllers ever made. Definitely worth an upgrade for anyone - even PC users - looking for a great controller.

I’ve had my DualShock 4 controller for a few years now, and I still think it holds up incredibly well. The design just feels right in my hands—comfortable, lightweight, and responsive. The layout is intuitive, and everything is within easy reach, whether I’m playing something casual or a fast-paced action game. The analog sticks have a nice amount of resistance, and the triggers feel smooth and responsive. I’ve never had issues with input lag or drifting, and even after heavy use, the buttons still have a satisfying click. The touchpad isn’t used by every game, but when it is, it adds a nice bit of versatility. I also really like the built-in speaker and light bar. It’s small details like those that make the experience feel more immersive. Battery life could be better, though. I usually get around 5 to 8 hours per charge depending on the game and whether the speaker and light bar are being used a lot. It’s not terrible, but I do wish it lasted longer without having to plug in so often. Charging is easy through a micro-USB cable, though I kind of wish it had moved to USB-C like newer controllers. I’ve also used the DualShock 4 on PC and it works great there too, especially with Steam recognizing it right away. Overall, it’s a reliable, well-built controller that still feels great to use, even with newer options out there. Whether on PS4 or PC, it’s one of my favorites.

First things first, ignore the packaging dust, those little shards of paper that you might see in these pictures. So, if you're looking for a controller to be exactly like the one that came with your PlayStation, you probably won't find that because the ones they send with PS4s PS5s are going to have a slightly different finish than replacement controllers I think. Next thing is that I did some research before buying a replacement PS4 controller and found that there are some sold on eBay that are not authentic even though they look authentic and they look like they are packaged very professionally but here are some things to look out for with those. The eBay controllers that claim they are Sony but are not, are going to be packaged so tightly that there will be casing around the joysticks. Sony does not do this, probably to prevent any damage before it even gets to you so they leave it solely inside the package along with the rest of the controller instead of doing that casing around the joysticks like the unauthentic eBay controllers do. Another thing to watch out for is to make sure the writing on the controller is not distorted or stretched because the false controller manufacturers don't have access to the specific font and size and other parameters that Sony uses to print on their controllers. You want to compare your old controller with your new controller. If you're old controller is broken, DO NOT THROW IT AWAY. You will need something to compare with and you might be able to get that old controller fixed now that you have the new one and then you'll have an additional controller. Another thing to look for is to make sure the Sony writing on the back where the light is is not also distorted and you want to make sure that all of the plug-in areas, like "EXT" and the initial insert in the back where you charge the controller are nice and sturdy as well as the headphone jack. This has a matte black finish whereas the original PS4 controller that came with my PS4 had or has, a slight gloss to it. Additionally the controllers should be at least near the same weight. This controller was a tad bit lighter but not enough really to say it was a problem It's just a teeny bit lighter and not a big deal because the important things here are that it is an authentic PS4 controller that does come in authentic PS4/Sony packaging and the writing is not distorted. The joysticks will feel differently than your original PS4 controller because again, this is not the original one that came with your PS4 It's a replacement. They give you those slight added special effects with your set because they want you to feel excited and enthusiastic and ready for gaming. The replacements are just exactly that, replacements. And buying this one, I did get this one for a few dollars less, not a bunch but a few. For all you Penny Pinchers out there this is going to be a dream. I think that matters as well. Hardware ID’s show Sony (VID 054C, PID 09CC). The label on the back has the correct model number, FCC info, and serial barcode, and the box has the right Sony Interactive Entertainment address and UPC. Shell was a bit more matte compared to my stock controller, but the buttons work, no noticeable input lag, and pairs fine with the PS4. I’ve yet to open the controller and verify the chips and board or the battery, but almost feel no need to

Lo comparamos con los otros que venían con el Play 4 y de inmediato vimos que sí era el original, además de que viene con su caja original también, lo compramos ya hace 4 meses y está intacto (incluso la caja también)

Sehr schöner Controller. Die Farbe gefällt mir überaus gut, das Obermaterial fühlt sich angenehm an. Bisher funktioniert alles super. Der Controller ist nun seit ca. 6 Monaten in meinem Besitz. Die Lieferzeit betrug einige Wochen.

El control llegó bien empaquetado y en perfecto estado. Hasta el momento no ha presentado fallas a 3 semanas de haberlo adquirido. PD: En las fotos aparece con unos accesorios que yo compré aparte. No viene con eso.

Buenas! Para no poner mucho texto mejor tome fotos xd. En conclusión, al jugar se siente como el original, lo detecta como original y el precio tanto en reseñas se puede confiar en que es original. Llego bien empaquetado, pero pudo ser mejor. Comprar este control en este 2026 todavía vale la pena, yo exploto muchos los controles jugando fortnite xd y el que tuve me duró ya sus 5 años, así que por eso estoy aquí, comprando otro. Yo actualmente lo uso en PC, y va de maravilla, les menciono que hice pruebas tanto en PC como en Ps4. Suerteee, y si lo compran... que lo disfruten muchísimo. 👍

Seems to be a good buy, struggle to get PS4 controllers now, so far so good! Let’s hope the stick drift which other controllers have had in the past doesn’t occur too early.
