How many times can you fall for your favorite author's writing?I would say an infinite number of times!Every time I read a book by Fredrik Backman, I fall for his writing more and more. He writes about life, human struggle, and emotions in a way that you feel deeply related to. He weaves stories and characters that touch deep inside your heart and remain with you for a long time.Anxious People is my fourth read by the author, and once again, I am amazed by his writing. I think this is the first book that made me laugh that much. I don't often read humorous books, but I am glad I read this one!~The story starts when after a failed attempt to rob a bank, a would-be-bank-robber ends up in an apartment viewing, taking a group of people hostage. So it is a story about a would-be bank robber, eight chaotic strangers, and two clueless police officers. As the story unfurls, we learn more about these characters. They are not entirely who they appear to be - each of them carries a lifetime of grievance, loss, and secrets. It is a character-driven mystery with extraordinary storytelling, unique writing, and characters that you will deeply resonate with. The main theme of the book is human connection and relation, empathy and hopefulness, mental health, and kindness. I loved how the author weaved the characters- the more I learned about them, the more I started to feel for them, relate with them. This book is a reminder to be kind to each other and to ourselves.Truly a great book!READ IT!

A must read book
I always used to think that the best thing about a novel is the plot. I cannot thank Backman enough to prove me wrong. This book is all about characters. A lot of them. Each one being an idiot. And this is a book about idiots.📚📚📚📚📚This book follows a robber who tries to escape after unsuccessfully trying to rob a bank and lands into an apartment viewing. What started as a botched robbery soon turns into a hostage drama.📚📚📚📚📚The plot seems simple but the writing is amazing. A lot of characters are there each with their own quirks and each one is lovable. I don't remember the last time when I laughed while reading a novel. But more than a great comedy, this book is an observation about little things in human behaviour which we all subconsciously do but never understand why we do it at all. This book has an amazing suspense, comedy and amazing truth bombs. This is my second book my Fredrik Backman and I'm in love with his characters, his writing style and the positivity his books emanate. This book is so simple yet so beautiful.Quoting last dialogue of The Office "There's a lot of beauty in the ordinary things but isn't that kind of point?".It's a must read book.My rating 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A book everyone should read
This is a story about a lot of things, but mostly about idiots. So it needs saying from the outset that it's always very easy to declare that other people are idiots, but only if you forget how idiotically difficult human being is."You know we all have those books which when you finish them you feel satisfied, a feeling that you read something good, a book that makes you smile after reading it, Anxious People is one such book, it's not about hostage drama, it's not about a bank robbery, it's about bridge, it's about idiots, it's the story about us.On New Year's Eve, a bunch of people were stuck in an apartment during an apartment viewing, and a failed bank robber who tried to rob the cashless bank unknowingly took the hostage of these people. As the story moved on, we got to know about these people's stories, and how these people have more in common with them than it seems.Backman doesn't write stories, he writes about people and that's what I like most about him, and the way he beautifully portrayed each story, their past life, you feel like you're going through this, his characters are damn relatable. This book is humorous, loving, emotional, and deeply moving, I recommend it to everyone, this is a good book.Thank you!Happy Reading❤️
